Possibly unfree Image:Stamp4EUFam.jpg

An image that you uploaded or altered, Image:Stamp4EUFam.jpg, has been listed at Misplaced Pages:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is disputed. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the image description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Hux (talk) 02:15, 8 April 2008 (UTC) --Hux (talk) 02:15, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Image:Stamp4EUFam.jpg

A tag has been placed on Image:Stamp4EUFam.jpg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done for the following reason:

the uploader cannot own the PD copyright of a current Irish government document and a previous version of this image was deleted some time ago

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Misplaced Pages criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on ] explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ww2censor (talk) 03:30, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Stamp4EUFam.jpg)

⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:Stamp4EUFam.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? When I did this it was an indication that the iamge isn't going to be deleted. It isn't necessary to add a hangon tag. CambridgeBayWeather Have a gorilla 20:06, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

You need to use the appropriate non-free licence because you do not own the copyright so cannot assign it to this image as you did again. The Irish government own the copyright, so this is a copyright violation as it stands. ww2censor (talk) 06:08, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

ww2censor

User ww2censor keeps trying to get Stamp4EUFam.jpg deleted. Don't know why. He failed to respond when I pointed out that http://en.wikipedia.org/Image:Eirepas.JPG exists on Misplaced Pages. My image is no different, as far as copyright goes. Ah well.

Speedy deletion of Image:Stamp4EUFam.jpg

A tag has been placed on Image:Stamp4EUFam.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section I4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image with an unknown source or an unknown copyright status which has been tagged as such for more than 7 days, and it still lacks the necessary information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on ] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. ww2censor (talk) 22:54, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Stamp4EUFam.jpg

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Stamp4EUFam.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Misplaced Pages takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. J Milburn (talk) 22:59, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Image deletion

Let me explain clearly what is going on with the image you keep uploading and which keeps being deleted by an adminstrator who reviews the nomination. You have claimed a PD licence for this image but it is the copyright of the Irish government and no matter how you dice it, any image you make and upload is a copyright violation. You cannot obtain copyright to this image, even if you scan it yourself, photograph it or whatever, and it must be 50 years old for Irish government work to become PD. At one time the image did have an appropriate Fair-use rationale but you removed that and substituted your own improper licence. Based on those actions, I can only assume that you insist on refusing to comply with Misplaced Pages image policy; copyright violations are not permitted and will be deleted. Your suggestion above, (which I never saw because you did not notify me of the comment), that because another Irish Government product image is on the Commons, yours should be allowed. That image too is inaccurately licenced, and like your, is not PD and will probably be nominated on the Commons for deletion. Please do not upload this image again unless you comply with the requirements of non-free content because it will be deleted again and might even be regarded as vandalism which could get you blocked from editing. ww2censor (talk) 04:17, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

Reuploaded Image:Stamp4EUFam.jpg

I have reuploaded Image:Stamp4EUFam.jpg and used an appropriate Fair-use rationale as per ww2censor's recommendation.

Ireland

I reverted you, please give an explanation why having the Ireland, bermuda article must be in the header Emptyradar12 (talk) 21:07, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

I've reverted your edit because: 1. blogs are typically not credible sources 2. one blog you cited (singaporedonkey) is a parody blog. kindly read you source. 3. forums too are not credible sources. Please consult WP:CITE for further help on the issue. Don't know reinsert your removed edit. __earth 11:21, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
