"Eenie Meenie" is the first of two songs that Bieber and Kingston have collaborated on to appear on their respective albums. The song was written by The Jackie Boyz, who co-wrote Bieber's "Down To Earth", from My World, and Benny Blanco, producer of Kesha's "Blah Blah Blah". The song was posted on Kingston's YouTube, then first premiered on March 4, 2010 on Ryan Seacrest's website. AOL said that "the song begins with a prominent synthesized back beat, followed by solo verses by both reggae fusion singer-rapper Kingston and the Canadian tween-sensation Bieber, as they sing about letting a girl go if "she's indecisive" and doesn't realize that you're "Mr. Right." The review also calls the chorus catchy. Initial reception of the song has been positive. Kyle Anderson of MTV said that "Eenie Meenie" melds Sean Kingston's island-inflected dance-pop with Bieber's sweet tween R&B." The review goes on, "It utilizes the children's rhyme "Eenie Meenie Miny Moe" throughout, especially in the chorus (where the pair sing "Shawty is a eenie meenie miny moe lova'") and in the half-sung, half-rapped breakdown ("Eenie meenie miny moe / Catch a bad chick by her toe.")" Bill Lamb of About.com said "Both make the song sound effortless with a vibe that seems to land somewhere between Sean Kingston's uptempo "Fire Burning" and the glide of Chris Brown's "Forever, and says that the song was "one of the first releases of the spring to point toward a more summery sound."
