please help with constant removal issues
Hi,
I am wondering if you could please enlighten me regarding your removal of this page.
I had rewritten it now twice to try and satisfy some very stringent requirements.
I am the assistant of Mr. Lifschitz and have now spent many, many hours trying to put this information together so as to make it unique, but it is not that easy to retell his biography over and over. If there is any way to recover that page that you removed, I would so much appreciate it.
Can you please let me know what it is that you need me to do in advance so that I don't have to keep redoing and redoing his biography??
I have been working so long on his things and it would be such a gift to me (my birthday happens to be next week), if you could please allow me to get this material up without so much trouble.
Thank you for your kind assistance on this matter. I will look forward to hearing from you.
thank you again!!!

Dear EM,
I did not repost that material right after it was deleted. I re wrote it. I worked very quickly to put it together from my vast notes on Mr. Lifschitz. That is my job, to keep all of these things. I have written most of what is online about him and it is mostly original to me. So please do not accuse me of doing what you said I did, which I did not do.
I also would very, very, very much appreciate being able to retrieve the rather extensive discography that was on that page. It took me several hours of work to put that together.
Thank you again and I would so much appreciate any assistance in getting that information back.
Thank you!!!!

- First off, we have a policy against conflict of interest. People directly involved with the subject of the article should not be creating articles about them. Secondly, much of the material you want is from here. I assume that was written by you? I can give you what was in the article, but please stop recreating it. Enigma 16:13, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

why is it that the following cigar distributors have wiki pages?

im new to wikipedia!
- Yes, you appear to be new, and you're clearly affiliated in some way with the company, which is why the article was written in an extremely promotional manner. I will not judge as to Mike's Cigars notability, but if you can't write it in a neutral manner, then it will have to be left for someone else. Enigma 01:26, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
Simple typo on the Bob Marley page
Hi,
Just wanted to change the typo that says "Babylon bu Bus" to "Babylon by Bus."
Best regards,

Nobel Prize help
Hey! I found you on the "Guild of Copy Editors" page. I am currently working on the Nobel Prize article and I am going to nominate it for a GA soon, hopefully before the end of this week. However, it could need some more grammar/prose checks to make it better. I was wondering if you could give me a hand? Especially the parts after "History" needs some looking into. I would be very grateful for any help :)
Cheers --Esuzu 18:10, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- Happy to help. I'm a little pressed for time these days, but I should be able to find 30 minutes or so tonight. I'll give it a look and see if I can make some improvements. If there are any others articles, don't hesitate to ask. Enigma 20:34, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

request for approval
Dear EM,
Thank you for responding to my last inquiry about the Konstantin Lifschitz page on wikipedia.
I am working on the new page for this and I have reread the requirements for biographies of living persons in preparation for this.
Since my two prior attempts have been flagged and subsequently removed, I am wondering if it might be possible to have someone take a look and assist with some verification that I am approaching this correctly. I want to be able to put the material in at least three languages once I know that it is acceptable to the wiki community.
The sourcing for the material will primarily be from two websites, one being the artist's own external website.
I look forward to hearing back from you and thank you for your kind response.
KathyFresh digital produce (talk) 04:43, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- I saw this and thought I'd offer help. What's the other website? Because the artist's own website is a WP:Primary source and does not establish WP:Notability. And two websites isn't exactly a lot of course. Note also you should write any article yourself, in your own words using the sources only as references. Please DO NOT copy material from other websites onto wikipedia as you will generally violate copyright. Note that copying the material and then changing a few words is also not enough. Your changes on Aheer
Hello Enigmaman,
During my anti-vandalism patrol, I founded this
http://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=Aheer&action=historysubmit&diff=332861090&oldid=332466092
After the quick recovery with Huggle (all caps edit and a very specific title where it should be generic), I searched deeper with Twinkle. I was about to restore 2 sections of the article that you deleted in the past. I chose to trust you and your WP:Admin role, but really, I would like to know why you deleted that material and suggest you to leave explanation when you do such removing for helping other when they have to decide if a piece of info needs to be restored or not.
Thanks,

Quick question re: User account
Would you consider this a Spam only account? I don't see much issue with the user's additions (other than his goal is to be a single purpose vio of WP:NOTNEWS) Thoughts? Wiki libs (talk) 18:27, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- At the very least it warrants attention from WP:RFCN. Looks like a company name to me. --King Öomie 18:32, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- Not a spam-only account. It's merely a questionable username. As King said, it probably should go to that board. I'm not a big fan of its edits, but they're not exactly spam. Enigma 18:38, 11 February 2010 (UTC)

What are you talking about
Enigmamam,
I am getting really sick to the back teeth with people here. An admin has quite abusively blocked a whole block of IP addresses (and on an unrelated issue) with the total lack of NPOV on global warming articles, I really don't have a lot of tolerance to stupid behaviour aimed at group punishments.
A supposed few rule of wikipedia are that it is not necessary to log in to post, that there is an assumption of good faith (one which this block clearly contravenes), and if you want to block me permanently for pointing out this rediculous behaviour, then please do because I'd rather not have anything to do with a site that treats people like me who act in good faith in this way.
If you don't like being told the truth, then don't be an admin, but please don't try to blame me for pointing out the fact that this admin has put a widespread block on numerous IP addresses without so much as a comment trying to say why.
How would you like it if you spent a hour or more trying to work out why an admin had blocked a host of users when they should not have done, but even if it were totally essential (which it is not) they should have provided adequate explanation.
Basically, you are encouraging abysmal behaviour by admins, and I'm really glad I don't bother to edit** this website any longer.
PATHETIC! Totally pathetic as a response! Isonomia (talk) 16:18, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
(**) I will not log in and make major edits until there is support for neutrality on gloabl warming articles, but I still do make comments where I think editors may benefit from comments on suggestions to articles -- something I won't bother with in future! Isonomia (talk) 16:27, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
- I'VE JUST WORKED OUT WHAT IS REALLY MAKING ME FRIGGING ANGRY, IT IS THAT THIS GROUP PUNISHMENT STILL MAKES WE WONDER DID I DO SOMETHING THAT DESERVED IT. I'M PRETTY CERTAIN FROM THE DATE IT WASN'T ME, BUT THIS PATHETIC COMMENTS HAVEN'T EVEN TRIED TO APOLOGISE TO SOMEONE WHO I THINK IS A TOTALLY INNOCENT BY-STANDER. AS I SAID THE RESPONSE I HAVE GOT IS PATHETIC AND PLEASE DO BAN ME CAUSE I'M WASTING MY TIME HERE! Isonomia (talk) 16:30, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
- So you're here just to name call, rant, and attack people? I think that would be one of the things Misplaced Pages is not about. Enigma 17:32, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
"Stop"
Why? The information is true, unique, and actually really interesting when you think about it. Who else has those combination of things? An encyclopedic reference at its essence should include all pertinent and unique data regarding the subject, and this sentence definitely qualifies. I find it interesting that any unorthodox information gets immediately edited and/or blocked by "Edit Nazis" out there who are just on a big power trip (not necessarily referring to you, but just saying they exist). I see no reason why this wholly unique info shouldn't be included, but of course you'll point to some obscure Misplaced Pages memo about this specific thing. Sigh.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shkee23 (talk • contribs) 02:50, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
Protection
An IP has complained at WP:AN that they are unable to contact you via your talk page. I note that this is because your talk page is semi-protected. Would you consider creating a sub-page of your talk page that is unprotected so that IPs and new editors may contact you if they need to, and leave a link to it at the top of your talk page. Mjroots (talk) 07:52, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
- I will try unprotecting it. I was hit by vandalism from a number of proxies last week. Enigma 18:19, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
- I've no problem with it being protected, as long as IPs have some method of leaving you a message. I fully understand about the vandalism issue. My personal view is that they can vandalise my talk page as much as they like, but they don't get a chance to touch my user page. If any of my other subpages are targeted, then I'll semi them too.
