Masters and doctorate in music composition; several years of teaching students (undergrad and grad) in music theory, orchestration, ear-training, composition and various other things; some time spent as an editor of a music research journal: but now I make my living managing a GIS (]) department at a huge company. Stranger things have happened. I might contribute to articles in ''that'' field someday, but right now that feels too much like "work."
Masters and doctorate in music composition. I intend, at this very early stage of my Wiki career, to write some articles on obscure ] who are not yet represented; however in my chaotic life, so far, not all of my intentions have been carried through to completion. We will see.


So far I have been focusing on Medieval and Renaissance music, probably because it's not too well represented on Misplaced Pages yet, and there are clearly a lot of good and knowledgeable writers working in more recent areas.
So far: ], ], a whole bunch of edits to pages describing towns around where I live, some miscellaneous edits to pages on musical topics, and a few spelling/punctuation edits in a couple of articles before I created my user account.


Anybody is welcome to leave a note on my talk page.
I'll mess around a bit more in a non-destructive way until I'm sure I know how things work around here. Seems like a dangerous site in that it could easily suck up all my extra time ... and I'm already excited now on about my third visit. Anybody is welcome to leave a note on my talk page.

Masters and doctorate in music composition; several years of teaching students (undergrad and grad) in music theory, orchestration, ear-training, composition and various other things; some time spent as an editor of a music research journal: but now I make my living managing a GIS (Geographic Information System) department at a huge company. Stranger things have happened. I might contribute to articles in that field someday, but right now that feels too much like "work."

So far I have been focusing on Medieval and Renaissance music, probably because it's not too well represented on Misplaced Pages yet, and there are clearly a lot of good and knowledgeable writers working in more recent areas.
