Helen Bader School of Social Welfare (HBSSW) is an academic unit of the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. The social work program of the school was ranked 42nd nationally by U.S. News & World Report in 2008 while the criminal justice program has been ranked as one of the top three in the Midwest by three other reviews.

In March, 2010, Helen Bader School of Social Welfare was awarded the 2010 Academic Excellence Award from the American Public Human Services Association (APHSA)
