Portugal To-do:

Find correct name The airport is not listed as João Paulo II anywhere. The airport's own website calls itself simply Ponta Delgada, and has no mention of João Paulo.

Review

  • Category:History of Portugal: lots to remove there
  • Template:Regions of Portugal: statistical (NUTS3) subregions and intercommunal entities are confused; they are not the same in all regions, and should be sublisted separately in each region: intermunicipal entities are sometimes larger and split by subregions (e.g. the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has two subregions), some intercommunal entities are containing only parts of subregions. All subregions should be listed explicitly and not assume they are only intermunicipal entities (which accessorily are not statistic subdivisions but real administrative entities, so they should be listed below, probably using a smaller font: we can safely eliminate the subgrouping by type of intermunicipal entity from this box).

Sammohan Bhavana

Sammohan Bhavana should be explained or the article be created. Thanks! --DLL 21:34, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

Title of the book?

Under heading == France==, The book being referred to by the two sentences:

to whom he dedicated his book Causas do Sono Lúcido ("On the Causes of Deep Sleep").
He provoked unending controversies with his work Da Causa do Sono Lúcido no Estudo da Natureza do Homem (On the cause of Deep Sleep in the Study of Nature of Man),

Must be one and the same. Which title is correct? Also, what does leaving behind "no addresses" mean when one dies? That he didn't have a fixed abode? That he had no relatives left that could have been asked for burial money?

He left behind no addresses and his grave remains unmarked and unknown,

Met Dumas?

I removed this unsourced sentence:

"After a long stint in the Chateau, Faria was released and returned to Paris. Here he met Alexandre Dumas, the novelist, who was so impressed with the Abbe that he used him as a character - the mad monk - in his novel, The Count of Monte Cristo."

Dumas did not move to Paris until he was 20 (1826), seven years after Faria died. --Ccady 23:49, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
