Misdescription of warnings

It's not in your best interest to dismiss a warning as a threat. That was a legitimate block warning, and I will have no hesitation in following through if I deem it appropriate.—Kww(talk) 19:40, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

Are you going to indefinite block me for your perception of votestacking, or for me perceiving your message as a threat? I didn't "dismiss a warning as a threat", I labeled it a threat because of the unfriendly and threatening language. It was not a friendly civil notice, the way my message to people to "express their opinion" was a friendly notice. Your tone was and still is threatening where a friendly notice would be more appropriate for any perceived infraction. --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk) 20:28, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

It was an extremely civil notice. A demand to stop a flagrant policy violation shouldn't be accompanied by "please" or "thank you", because there is an unfortunate risk the the receiver may interpret it as a request, or somehow think that compliance might be optional. It's impossible to say "do that again and you will be blocked" without saying "do that again and you will be blocked."—Kww(talk) 20:38, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:RoadForgiveness.jpg

I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Misplaced Pages constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Molluscs

I have always spelt mollusc with a C and so do many other English speakers. You should realiSe that the whole world does not use American English. I'm assuming good faith here, perhaps you need to enrol in a local community college in basic linguistics to understand that regional variation in English exists. cheers. you simply miss the point. you can't admit that there are variants of English spelling just like several people point out canvassing which you pretend not to see. should realiSe that the whole world does not use American English. 		Just wanted to say that although a lot of your stuff gets nominated for deletion, and although I'm often on the side arguing for it to be deleted, that's only a reflection of the stirling quantity of new and expanded articles and images you contribute to Misplaced Pages. Don't think all the absolutely-worth-keeping improvements to the project you make aren't noticed or appreciated just because a few of them fall short of the bar. I am cool, and don't take it as a personal attack. It is a number pulled from thin air, or more colloquially, from an anal aperture. It has no corresponding verifiability and is being used to sway an argument. Your confusing calling someone an ass, and saying someone pulled a figure from their ass. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Misplaced Pages articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
