Infamous 2 (styled inFAMOUS 2) is an upcoming 2011 open world video game for the PlayStation 3 video game console developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game is the sequel to the 2009 video game, Infamous.

Plot

Realizing he is not yet powerful enough to fight The Beast, Cole flees Empire city and relocates to New Marais, a city run by a vicious gang called The Militia.

Development

Gaming journals have reported the likelihood of a sequel to Infamous due to a Twitter post made by actor David Sullivan reporting on auditioning for the role of Cole in the game's sequel. In April 2010 it was reported that Sony had purchased the domain name 'infamous2thegame.com', increasing speculation that a sequel was in development. The game was officially unveiled when GameInformer released the cover for their July 2010 issue which features a ten page preview of the game.
