Category:TMC

What is it? You need to add some text explaining that much, at a minimum. 76.102.27.141 (talk) 17:43, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

It is Traffic Message Channel, a free system to warn about traffic jams (I included this aticle in the category). There are two main devices in the Market= TomTom Go Live 1000 and Pioneer Avic.--Nudecline (talk) 17:53, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

Provide edit summaries please!

I saw someone copied the table from Electric car#Charging to Charging station#Technical issues. It took me 15 minutes to track down the revision you made in which this occurred. Please in "Edit summary" say broadly what you're changing in each edit; it's polite and makes others' lives easier. Thanks! -- Skierpage (talk) 01:07, 1 June 2010 (UTC)

Best way to handle the level 1/2/3 charging table

You copied the table I added to Electric car#Charging to Charging station#Technical issues. I wondered about where to put it and maybe this is a better place, but I don't think duplication is the answer, it means redundant information that will drift out of sync. It feels like the best approach is the two articles could transclude part of a free-standing Level 1, 2, and 3 charging article (currently that page is just a redirect) (using <noinclude>stuff not to show up in the other pages</noinclude>), but Misplaced Pages policy seems to frown on transclusion of articles, see Wikipedia_talk:Template_namespace/Archive 1#transcluding prose. For now I added <-- table copied from ] --> to Charging station page, I dunno if there's a template for copied material.

A freestanding article could give the history of "Level 1/2/3 charging", while the other articles just use the current definitions. I made the assertion that CARB came up with the terms but don't have complete proof. I'm also not sure what the authoritative modern description of the levels is -- it seems companies wanting to go beefier (Tesla, Coulomb Technology, etc.) have simply increased the max. current for level 1 and 2 to suit their products. I'd love any well-cited additional information, this is important stuff! Cheers, -- Skierpage (talk) 01:17, 1 June 2010 (UTC)

June 2010

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Misplaced Pages pages, as you did to Rede Integrada de Transporte. Advertising and using Misplaced Pages as a "soapbox" is against Misplaced Pages policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Misplaced Pages. Thank you.Template:Do not delete However admirable biofuels might be, this article on the Rede Integrada de Transporte transit authority is not the place to promote it. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 15:07, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

Why have I added promotional material to Rede Integrada de Transporte ?. --Nudecline (talk) 06:25, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
First of all, does the transport authority use all these biofuels -- or is it that you want to say that they are available for use? Shawn in Montreal (talk) 13:53, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
Why did you delete it without read ?. --Nudecline (talk) 06:37, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
I deleted the text after reading. However, it does appear as if you are paraphrasing the transit authority's own website, and citing it as a primary source, so I will restore the deleted section. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 16:00, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
Of course, it was not the soapbox for "my" goods or my biofuels. It was the exposition of a RIT policy. Without this clarification, I would include a non-neutrality tag in the article. Now people can freely judge if the environmental effort of the RIT (qualified in the past as a model) is now enough. I personally think that no, because the use of combustion buses is a bad policy. In any case, it is my guilty ;-) if I have not explained it better before. Now, I close the gate upto the next week. Good weekend :-)--Nudecline (talk) 19:33, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

Nopetro

Hello, I see that you recently edited as Nopetro, although you indicated that this is your new account. You shouldn't edit back-and-forth like that. Moreover, you are suspected of being a reincarnation of User:Mac, who was community banned for disruptive behavior. Please feel free to comment at Misplaced Pages:Sockpuppet investigations/Mac. Cool Hand Luke 23:55, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

I am not using the Nopetro account. As I said in my user page, I only use it when I cannot edit with the new account. If I have done one edition by mistake (the browser can store the old account) this is not voluntary. In any case, it is false that I am Mac or any other user than Nopetro and I have changed the user name because I prefer the Nudecline. --Nudecline (talk) 06:32, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
"it is false that I am Mac or any other user than Nopetro." Do you also deny that you were User:Nukeless? Shawn in Montreal (talk) 15:24, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
Absolutely. I have read that a lot of people has abandoned Misplaced Pages because of agressive attacks, and I now understand them. You are judged by non-judges because of your intimity thinking, as in censorships (in a similar ways to Torquemada). P.S.: I am still waiting your answer about the Curitiba article.--Nudecline (talk) 15:47, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
Please pardon me if you already know this, but you might want to consider changing your[REDACTED] username rather than maintaining two user accounts. If you change your username, as I did a few months ago, you retain all your seniority and do not have to worry about editing articles with prohibitions on editing by new users. You may have other reasons for maintaining two accounts, but as you have already found out, this can lead to sockpuppetry problems. Cheers Ebikeguy (talk) 19:39, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
THANK YOU A LOT. Iam going to try it as soon as possible (reading the way to make the change the next monday). :-) --Nudecline (talk) 23:12, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

Redlinks in disambiguation pages

Do not add redlinks in disambiguation pages as you did to Mobility. Wait until the article actually exists. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 01:53, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

I see incredible there is not an urban mobility article in Misplaced Pages. With the nowadays Misplaced Pages, the link must go to sustainable transportation.--Nudecline (talk) 06:35, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

Passenger transportation listed at Redirects for discussion

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Passenger transportation. Since you had some involvement with the Passenger transportation redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). Shawn in Montreal (talk) 22:59, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

Await the outcome of the RfD discussion. I have rolled back your change to redirect pending that outcome. And keep in mind that not respecting consensus on redirect was what got you blocked last time, as User:Mac. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 13:03, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
