SM City San Pablo will be the 37th shopping mall developed and operated by SM Prime Holdings, the largest mall operator in the Philippines owned by Henry Sy Sr.. SM City San Pablo will become the 2nd SM Supermall Franchise in the Province of Laguna. SM City San Pablo</ref>is located at the entrance of Riverina Residential and Commercial Estates in Maharlika Highway, Brgy. San Rafael San Pablo City, Laguna which will have a gross floor area of 80,000 square meters erected at a lot area of 68,000 square meters featuring SM anchor tenants like SM Department Store, SM Hypermarket, SM Food Court, SM Cinemas, SM Appliance Center and more than 200 shops and restaurants.

Accidents and Incidents

Two construction workers were killed and seven others were injured when a scaffolding, on which three layers of metal pipes were also piled up, collapsed and hit the victims at a mall construction site in San Pablo City, Laguna.
