Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One is an upcoming, four-player cooperative video game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment exclusively for the PlayStation 3 video game console, and will be released in 2011. It is another installment in the Ratchet and Clank series. Unlike previous games in the series for the PlayStation 3, the game is not part of the Future trilogy. It was announced by Insomniac head Ted Price during Sony's Press Conference at Gamescom 2010.
Plot
The game follows Ratchet, Clank, Qwark and Doctor Nefarious. The game takes place when Dr. Nefarious, the game's main antagonist, has an evil plan that goes awry causing Ratchet and Clank to get tangled up along with Qwark and Nefarious, and caught in the snare of a mysterious machine. Now they are forced to work together and cooperate in order to escape from the machine.
Gameplay
Unlike previous games in the series which were mostly single-player only games, All 4 One focuses on a four player cooperative multiplayer mode which allows for drop-in and drop-out online as well as offline multiplayer. Players can each take the role of one of the four main characters of the game namely Ratchet, Clank, Qwark and Doctor Nefarious.
Development
The game was first announced and Sony's Gamescom 2010 press conference by Ted Price of Insomniac Games. The game was first rumored on August 6, 2010 when a voice actor for the series, David Kaye, revealed that he had been hired by Insomniac Games to do more voice acting for Ratchet & Clank.
