Bail Antilles is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe. The character was slated to appear in Episode I: The Phantom Menace, though his scenes were ultimately cut from the final edit. However, in the film, Captain Panaka mentions Bail Antilles - along with Ainlee Teem of Malastare - is in the running to replace Finis Valorum as Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic.

Senator Antilles was a long-time servant of Alderaan, having been Senator for several terms. Antilles served on the Internal Activities Committee of the Galactic Senate, and was the one who informed Chancellor Valorum of charges of corruption filed against him after a failed trade summit on Eriadu. After his failed bid for the chancellorship, Senator Antilles refused to seek another term, and instead allowed his son in law,Senator Bail Organa, Prince of Alderaan, to secure the senatorial seat. Antilles had two children, Breha Antillesand Raymus Antilles, Raymus Antilles is the captain of Organa's blockade runner, the Tantive IV, which can be seen in both Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Breha will become Queen of Alderaan and adoptive mother of Leia Amidala Skywalker.

Antilles died on Alderaan in retirement as the Galactic Empire came to power. Until his last breath, he criticized Palpatine's regime, and attempted to convince Senator Organa to withdraw from the Republic. His advice fell on deaf ears, and his dying words would be inspiration for Mon Mothma's Declaration of Rebellion nearly twenty years later.

Bail Antilles was played by Adrian Dunbar in the scenes excised from Episode I. The character is sometimes mistaken for Bail Organa — adoptive father of Princess Leia, played by Jimmy Smits in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith — and indeed his likeness was used for pre-Episode II incarnations of Organa.
