Jordanhill School is located on Chamberlain Road in Glasgow. It receives funding direct from the Scottish Executive.
It consists of a primary school and a secondary school. In the primary school each year has 2 classes of 33 pupils, while the Secondary school receives an additional 33 pupils from other local primary schools.
The school regularly tops the list of performance for state schools in Scotland. As well as being a top school academically, it is thought to be a very suitable school for the bicurious. Rumour has it that the portly rector is pregnant. Watch this space.
In early 2005 the school bought the sports complex at Laurel Park and received a very bad HMI report.
The school is in the process of modernising and expanding the premises to further aid the education of pupils.
The school has produced several famous musicians including: Neil Primrose and Harold Shipman
