O Fenian is currently wikibonked and is operating at a lower edit level than usual. Hitting the wall is a temporary condition, and the user should return to normal edit levels in time.

And again. He just doesn't get the message - any suggestions? --Ser Amantio di NicolaoLo dicono a Signa. 20:51, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

Visit him with big sticks? That should not be taken as a serious threat of violence either, before anyone gets any silly ideas.. O Fenian (talk) 20:55, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
I prefer big shtick myself, but your mileage may vary. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoLo dicono a Signa. 20:57, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
I just found an old IP too, 86.25.195.158 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log). No point in listing it though, some edits reverted. O Fenian (talk) 21:06, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
Uggh. I'm ordinarily a fairly patient man, but he's beginning to get on my nerves. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoLo dicono a Signa. 21:08, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
How do you think I felt? O Fenian (talk) 21:10, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
Looks like you're enjoying it to me. :-) *ducks*
Sorry.--Ser Amantio di NicolaoLo dicono a Signa. 21:25, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

...I don't believe it. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoLo dicono a Signa. 21:50, 12 November 2010 (UTC)

Seems to be back again. In case you're interested. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoLo dicono a Signa. 19:58, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
Yes, I saw that earlier. I was just waiting for the block to be placed before putting {{db-banned}} templates on the article he created. O Fenian (talk) 20:03, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
Funny - I was beginning to wonder if we'd finally seen the last of him. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoLo dicono a Signa. 20:18, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
He's back. It's been a while. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoLo dicono a Signa. 14:28, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
And back again.. O Fenian (talk) 21:32, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

File:Ciftci.jpg

I deleted it - but I had to change the reason - WP:G12 is only for text files, for image files the item is WP:F9. This one is a bit harder to get right, depending on what the author claims, sometime we have to replace the F9 with one of the "di" templates (see list in box at Template:Db-f9), and wait a fixed time for the missing data to be added - as it was he said it was "Free", so there was no need to wait.  Ronhjones  20:36, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

User Jay Fitz.

I note that you have reverted one of his recent pages. This user has been spreading a lot of Unionist and Church of Ireland POV edits around. I've reverted a few of them myself. However, in the case of the Kingdom of Ireland, I thought that his contributions were quite good. They needed no more than a "citation needed" tag, not a full reversion I thought. Laurel Lodged (talk) 13:58, 12 November 2010 (UTC)

The edit was ungrammatical, used point-of-view terminology ("Great Britain's mortal enemy", "outright agression by the radical French governments"). There were also inaccuracies such as "mainland Britain" when referring to Great Britain pre-Act of Union, and even worse the supposed 1921 repeal of the Act of Union. I saw zero verifiable content that could be salvaged, and little unverifiable content I was happy with keeping. O Fenian (talk) 17:57, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

Sock

Should the user page re. the current SPI not be notified? RashersTierney (talk) 16:55, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

When socks are that obvious I generally do not do them the courtesy of notifying them. They already know they are socks after all.. O Fenian (talk) 16:59, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
Anyway, well spotted. That was quite a haul. RashersTierney (talk) 17:15, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Iñaki De Juana Chaos

Sincerely, I do not see any personal opinion on my edition. ETA is deemed as a terrorist group by Spain, France, the UK, the rest of the EU and the US. Obviuosly, ETA members and supporters may disagree, but this does not imply lack of neutrality. My own opinion just does not care. ETA members have extra-judicially arrested people for an unbounded amount of time and have carried out extra-judicial executions (also known as assassination). The GALis labeled as a death squad and its activities declared as state terrorism in the Misplaced Pages for the very same reasons. And the same page calls ETA a "Basque separatist terrorist group". Furthermore, People killed by ETA, included those reportedly killed by Inaki De Juana, is listed under the . And finally, specifically lists Iñaki de Juana Chaos.

Zikhov (talk) 11:00, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

Should we need to change the aforementioned pages, too? Some people may disagree on ETA being a terrorist group, but it is a fact that it is listed as a terrorist group (whether it is or not) by 30 countries. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.152.147.165 (talk) 11:27, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

That song

No I wouldn't have thought so either, but several of the lyrics sites list versions by the Wolfe Tones. I'm trying to run that strange tale (from v. unreliable source) to earth. --Elen of the Roads (talk) 14:51, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

In case you are not aware, the Wolfe Tones are an Irish republican band and the song in question is a loyalist song, so I will state quite categorically that song was neither written nor performed by the Wolfe Tones. I am unsure if it started as a football song first that was covered by various non-notable bands or a song by a non-notable band that turned into a football song, that was again covered by various other bands. Use of the Ulster Banner or Union Flag

Hello, thanks for your input on the Robin Reid (boxer) page, I changed the flag in good faith and certainly didn't want to inflame a sensitive issue. I read the Flag of Northern Ireland page and it seems correct to use the Union flag in that case. Thanks for your time. Zarcadia (talk) 22:25, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

No problem. Most people are not aware that the flag ceased to be official in 1973, they tend to assume because the flag template works fine there is no problem with using it. Thank you. O Fenian (talk) 22:33, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

Every reliable source I have seen describes him solely as a Sinn Féin member, and I am unconvinced on the reliability of that source. If there are other sources, it can certainly be discussed further. O Fenian (talk) 18:23, 3 December 2010 (UTC)

AfD

There are some articles that weren't included in this AfD. Should you add them or someone else can? --John KB (talk) 22:54, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

I appear to have missed Mauritius and Mexico while going off the template, and have added those now. Were those the only two? O Fenian (talk) 23:30, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

Sockpuppetry case

Your name has been mentioned in connection with a sockpuppetry case. Please refer to Misplaced Pages:Sockpuppet investigations/O Fenian for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to cases before editing the evidence page. — HelloAnnyong 00:21, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

About Derry

I changed name to Londonderry on the City status in the United Kingdom page, but then looked through history and saw you had changed it. In my view while it should be Derry in most articles if that is the house style, in this case, when we are talking about official names, then we ought to use said official name. Anyhow, have started a discussion on the talk page, please contribute if you have a strong feeling on this :) 62.189.161.120 (talk) 08:40, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

TMC

Do you think he is back? Bjmullan (talk) 20:21, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

Looks a bit ham-fisted, but time will tell. RashersTierney (talk) 20:50, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
Well given the OP disappeared at the same time as the second account arrived and the identical errors such as "Island", it would still suggest my original assumption was correct. O Fenian (talk) 16:24, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
Why do I feel like this is reminiscent of a Freddie Kruger sequel script? Haha! --NorthernCounties (talk) 18:42, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

I think he's back - see Misplaced Pages:Sockpuppet investigations/Ryan kirkpatrick. If he is he's better-behaved than he has been, but I've asked for a checkuser to be on the safe side. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoLo dicono a Signa. 14:47, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
