- The ancestry of this Maharaja is a very widely discussed subject and has adequate notability as a controversy to merit inclusion in the lead of this article (see WP:Lead)--142.205.241.254 (talk) 19:45, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
Aheer vs Ahir
I think you are confusing these two groups: Aheer and Ahir. Please look at the Misplaced Pages articles and you will see why the group Aheer was re-added by me yesterday. I have added it back in again today as they are two different groups. Regards, --Diannaa 19:15, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
Yadav Vs Ahir modifications
The facts mentioned in the Ahir taken a false identitiy of Yadav is incorrect. And these false informations are propogated in recently publised books, which no authority in subject. The book contents are based on news paper articles and courts records, whose validities are as genuine as a lawyer's statement.
Let me know, which part is objectionable in the below content of Yadav, which u feel to modify. In case of failing to justify your argument, ur IP address will be notified for Vandalizm.
- The British census in 1881, half century before any Sanskritization movement, the census mentions Yadavas as Ahirs & Goalis. It says "The Yadavas, who in their turn are identified with the Gaolis and Ahirs, were the dominant race at that time. Hemadpant, the temple builder, was the minister of Ramchandra, the Yadava ruler of Deogiri, in the 13th century."
- However, most books publiced as recently as 2001, 2005, propogates the dubious theories generated based on old new paper articles and court records, that present day Yadav caste is merely renamed Ahirs who switched their identity in 1922 to Yadav as part of Sanskritization movement of certain Hindu castes.
- IPAddress fella, Go and read ancient vedas and Purans like Vayu purana, Padam Puran, Bhavishya purana, before commenting anything worth credibility on Yadav Vs Ahir. The books published in post independence(2001,2005, historical research and analysis joke) and nothing but crap political propaganda and must never be a reference for anything. Cambridge University, Press print cannot and must not be used as a certificate for authenticity by dubious mean.
- The mouth-piece of Indian social/political claims are vedas and puranas. No vedas and puranas mentions about any hidden_bongo_babu book like Manu-Smriti.
- In India everybody read/listen/knows Vedas and Puranas, stories from ages. What comes out of sanskritization was nothing more the a firm stand on what Ahirs/Gwala/Yaduvanshi always believed about themselves. All the puranas like Padam, Vayu, Bhavisya and literature such as Mahabharata are enough proof of same. Similarly, Foreign travelers(Greek, Parisian, Chinese) to India during B.C. and early A.D. provides more accurate details about the social demography of the country like India.
- Padma Purana, where Vishnu informed Abhiras, "I shall be born among you, O Abhiras, at Mathura in my eighth birth".
- Individuals starts going so low in discussion that idiotic claims like Ahir are not Abhira. Raj the one (talk) 20:21, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
