Long-term semi-protection, Persistent disruptive and biased editing from IP editors with obvious conflicts of interest. Edit warring and disruptive editing has lead to 3-month semi-protection twice since June last year, see ANEW archives here and here.   -- Lear's Fool 07:07, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

User(s) blocked. I rangeblocked 111.220.192.0/18 for a month, since this seems to be affecting several other articles. I'm reluctant to block for longer, because it's quite a big range, but if the problems resume after a month, it can be re-blocked—I don't see any useful edits elsewhere and I went back to early February. semi-protection IPs and some users keep adding "Libya" or other variations. There is ongoing discussion on the talk which these IP and user do not join in. It was originally protected by an administrator who is on Wiki-break, but if you want me to request unprotection with the admin who reprotected the page that's cool. I'm not sure of the protocol in this case. -- Eraserhead1 <talk> 09:26, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

Current requests for edits to a protected page

• Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add the appropriate template among {{Edit protected}}, {{Edit template-protected}}, {{Edit extended-protected}}, or {{Edit semi-protected}} to the article's talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here. • Requests to move move-protected pages should be made at Misplaced Pages:Requested moves, not here.
• If the discussion page and the article are both protected preventing you from making an edit request, this page is the right place to make that request. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to post requests.

Declined A full protection on a user page for the above reason would not work, as it would leave a user unable to edit that page themselves, effectively rendering the page itself useless. It equally doesn't stop them from creating a new subpage, or posting the same content elsewhere.
