Jack William Pithey (5 September 1903 – 16 September 1987) GOLM, ICD, CBE was a Rhodesian politician who served as acting President of Rhodesia between 1 November 1978 and 5 March 1979. He was also the President of the Senate and was a Member of Parliament for the Avondale constituency in Salisbury (now Harare) between 1964 and 1970.
Jack Pithey was born in Potchefstroom, (South Africa) on 30 December 1903 and went to Rhodesia on 5 September 1923. He was Secretary for Justice and Internal Affairs between 1958 and 1961 during the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland and later became the Secretary for Justice in Rhodesia between 1962 and 1963.
He married Mary Wood on 1 September 1931 and they had two sons and a daughter.
