Dublin High School was established in the fall of 1969 as the second high school in Dublin, California's Amador Valley High School District and graduated its first senior class in June of 1971. After the incorporation of the City of Dublin in 1981, Dublin High was combined with the Murray School District (est. 1856) to form the Dublin Unified School District in 1989. Dublin High has been selected a California Distinguished School four times since 1990 (1990, 1992, 1996, and 2003). Notable for its award-winning Irish Guard marching band and color guard, its mascot is the Gael. Currently, its best-known alumnus is Ned Yost, manager of the Milwaukee Brewers.
