The Nishadha peoples are indigenous tribes inhabiting ancient India, according to sources in Hindu mythology.
The Indo-Aryan peoples of ancient India's Vedic civilization saw the Nishadhas as uncivilized and barbarian peoples. Nishadha's did not follow the Vedic religion, and were involved in a numer of wars with Indo-Aryan kingdoms.
