| I cannot tell a lie, my usage was cribbed from the ] page which set me off on trying to clarify early history of south east Scotland. Chastened, I've looked at the Misplaced Pages:Manual of Style (dates and numbers), and find that AD is not required. This matter will be corrected with my future edits. | |||

Very good work on adding material to the Gododdin article . . . but the abbreviaton for Anno Domini ("in the year of the Lord") always precedes the number of the year -- it does not come afterwards. Your comment about AD makes good sense, it being year of our lord... I cannot tell a lie, my usage was cribbed from the History of Scotland page which set me off on trying to clarify early history of south east Scotland. Chastened, I've looked at the Misplaced Pages:Manual of Style (dates and numbers), and find that AD is not required. This matter will be corrected with my future edits.
Since there doesn't seem to be a Y Gododdin page I've expanded this section as well as making other edits and improving External references {focusing Votadini on earlier history to follow later.
