Richard T. Santulli (born 1944, in New York) is an American businessman, founder and, for its first 25 years, CEO of Netjets. He previously was a banker at Goldman Sachs.
The fractional ownership concept behind NetJets was created in 1986 by Richard Santulli, as the first fractional aircraft ownership program. Warren Buffett bought NetJets in 1998 for $725 million, keeping Richard Santulli as CEO. However, as of August 4, 2009, he has stepped down as CEO of Netjets.
Santulli was regarded by many as a likely successor to Warren Buffett as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway.
