You certainly deserved the comments I placed on the Nintendo page. Misplaced Pages is a place that's (by and large) populated by a small number of good editors like you, and a massive influx of vandals and people hell-bent on placing "Wookies forever!" into random articles. Since when did Wiki say we can't have our own external links...ofcourse we can!

We can add external links, but must explain what the link is...the link must not lead to virus or p0rn sites...if it does it will lead to banning!

WikiProject

Sounds like a good idea. It will have to be really hyped and interesting to all people (I.E. some people will write prose, others will do research, others will copyedit, others will add pics, and so on.) We don't have to assign tasks, but we should really hype things up and go down the checklist. We may wanna wait until I bring the MoS into a wikipedia document (which is WAY behind schedule, I know, but it's getting close). — Deckiller 20:41, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

We have to stay away from articles like Palpatine. We have to pick an article that won't be the source of a lot of fancruft. I'd say we pick something like one of the video games. The video game articles (well, some of them) have too much gaming information, which isn't allowed on the site. — Deckiller 20:48, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

The movies would also work well.

I've been thinking that, along the lines, we should create a series of "sub-projects" devoted to various tasks. Users strong in video games can be apart of a Star Wars Videogame subproject, which will have its own manual of style. We could also have a list subproject, which works on making sure the lists are concise, complete, logical/organized, and referenced. — Deckiller 20:53, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

Which is exactly why subprojects may be necessary (I mean, look at Final Fantasy; it's a subdivision of WPCVG and it has a few subprojects). Also, I do agree about making sure that we have some active members continuing to edit, hence "along the lines". — Deckiller 20:59, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

Oh, I'm not saying seperate projects. What I mean is that we'll have major subproject (but more like collaboration) points, such as lists and games. It's mainly for organizational purposes. Also, we don't really have to worry about quantity as much as quality; WPFF has a few core members, which is what we'll have to build first. It's like a buisness; there's various departments devoted to people's strengths (of course, people are involved in multiple departments in many cases). There are many ways we can do this. For clarification, this concept of subprojects was brought up as a future plan, when we have a large body of active members and the Todo list grows extremely large. This may never happen (though it's possible). — Deckiller 04:09, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, perhaps a video game section, movie section, lists section, and so on. We can talk with the others about how to present duties and categories, but perhaps we should focus on making sure our core group stays strong before taking care of that. — Deckiller 04:14, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Subdivisions

Honestly, perhaps we don't even have to go by content. We can have a group of project members collaborate on lists, while another group collaborates on articles. Just a thought; I'll develop some more ideas once school ends in about 2 minutes :) — Deckiller 18:44, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

In a nutshell

Pagrashtak and I had a disagreement over ESRB logos. 1. I posted a message about it, and soon after begin to get smashed repeatedly by attack IM (Yahoo and AIM) messages.

2. I thought they were from Pagrashtak so I posted some things I'm not proud of to the ESRB page...

3. But after some back-and-forthing (and a rather appropriate word of warning to me from several people), Pagrashtak and I discussed the issue and he told me that he hadn't been the one harassing me over the IM.

4. During this time Rick Browser begins to pop in (along with an anon IP that traces to Brazil4Linux) and post personal attacks on me here on Misplaced Pages- revealing that Rick Browser had been the one that was doing the goading this entire time.

Jedi, I'm not proud of my conduct regarding the ESRB article at all, but I think things are settled for the most part now. I've apologized to Pagrashtak about the whole thing, and now we know the identity of another Brazil4Linux sockpuppet.

I normally look for at least 1300 edits, evenly spread out, but for half of your edits to have come in March is too... rushed, if anything. Just thought you should know... the reason why Rick Browser is opposing you in your RFA is because he's a sock of Brazil4Linux.
