Questions, comments, thoughts, complaints? (last blanked 3 August 2010)

Any chance you might be able to take a look at Mohamed Nasheed? The article has been getting repeatedly vandalised and hit with POV additions for a while now, and really could do with a cleanup, and while we've disagreed in the past, you're the best person that comes to mind on these topics these days. Speedy deletion nomination of Liberians United for Reconciliation and Democracy

Please do not make statements attacking people or groups of people. Misplaced Pages has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Misplaced Pages and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images in violation of our biographies of living persons policy will be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. Thank you.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. —Train2104 (talk · contribs · count · email) 12:48, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Please ignore this warning. The article had been hijacked by vandals, who replaced the contents with some rather offensive idiocy. This has now been reverted. Favonian (talk) 12:51, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

President/PM of Côte d'Ivoire

Hello there,

I have started a discussion at Talk:Côte d'Ivoire about what to put in the infobox as President/PM. I notice you have changed it to Gbagbo in order to "state the facts on the ground". if you could contribute to the discussion and explain what you mean by this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. --Natural RX 19:53, 31 December 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:POM55.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:POM55.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 03:46, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Refrences to synesthesia in fiction

The article Refrences to synesthesia in fiction has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Improbably used redirect with no current links

While all contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Jason Quinn (talk) 07:37, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

Francisco Macías Nguema

Hi Everyking! I reverted your edition to the Nguema article because atheists, even in the broad sense of the word, just don't believe in deities, they are not necessarily materialists, physicalists or rational skeptics. But I'm with you: also would like that people like this was not "one of ours"... Regards. Againme (talk) 19:34, 31 July 2011 (UTC)

Mario Monti lede

Hello. Could you kindly check your use of English grammar in the revisions you have made to the start of the lede of the Mario Monti article? I find the use of the use of the present simple ("is") plus "since" to be unidiomatic. Please note that the reply to your earlier query "when???" was just a few lines down, in keeping with MOS; the lede to David Cameron—an article which has achieved GA status—follows a similar process. Thank you.--MistyMorn (talk) 13:30, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

I disagree quite strongly, but I have no wish to get into an edit war. Do you think that the lede of the David Cameron article is inappropriate, and if so does how does it conflict with MOS?--MistyMorn (talk) 13:40, 29 November 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for the reply. While respecting your personal opinion regarding the Cameron lede, I still do not understand how it departs from MOS (and why the Cameron GA should not provide an appropriate model for the somewhat tricky Monti lede). Regards,--MistyMorn (talk) 14:52, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification

Hi. When you recently edited Blaise Compaoré, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Burkinabé (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
