  • The FOD 1911 thread

At 12:17pm on the 23rd November 2011, a fledgling member of the world renowned UK based Airsoft Team "FOD" posted a request on their Facebook forum for suggestions for an appropriate sidearm. After much debate the fledgling decided on a 1911 (pistol) variant. This prompted members to agree that although the decision was made, the thread shall live on until a total of 1911 posts had been reached. Spurred on by his fellow teammates to have the honour of the final post, the 1911th post was mate at ....... January 25th 2012. Celebrations commenced not dissimilar to those on Endor at the fall of the Empire. Virgins thrust themselves at the victorious FOD but..........that's another story.

The 1911 thread will live in infamy and fond memories are had of the many topics covered in its life:

Tank theft and subsequent invasion of Paris. The Tactical Beard Owners Club
Theoretical Physics
Baby Jesus
Gramatical Elitism
The roller-coaster emotions of AK
Battlefield 3
Mankinis
Bumming
Glandular Fever
Yo Mama fights
Serpa Holsters
The pros and cons of single and dual stack mags
Poo

.........A sigh of relief now it's all over and now this fledgling can as whether he should purchase an FN F2000
