The discography of Barbadian singer Rihanna consists of six studio albums, one video album, three compilation albums, forty-two singles (including one promotional single, nine as a featured artist and three charity releases) and thirty-four music videos.

Rihanna made her chart debut in 2005 with "Pon de Replay", after signing with record label Def Jam Recordings. Her debut album Music of the Sun included distinct Caribbean reggae rhythms and dancehall beats fused with synthesised urban dance-pop. The second single from the album was "If It's Lovin' that You Want". The following year, Rihanna released her second studio album, A Girl like Me, which had a more urban-pop sound as opposed to the tropical sound of Music of the Sun. A Girl like Me spawned four singles: chart-toppers "SOS" and "Unfaithful", as well as "We Ride" and "Break It Off"; which featured Sean Paul. The accompanying music video for "Unfaithful" was directed by Anthony Mandler, and was the first of many videos the pair worked on together.

In 2007, Rihanna collaborated with J-Status and Shontelle on the song "Roll It", before releasing her third album, Good Girl Gone Bad. The album again shifted genres to a more urban and European dance-pop sound. The album included the worldwide number one single "Umbrella" featuring Jay-Z. The three other singles are "Shut Up and Drive", "Don't Stop the Music" and "Hate That I Love You" which features Ne-Yo. A reissue of the album titled Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded produced two more singles: "Take a Bow" and "Disturbia", both topped the US charts. The last single called "Rehab". Between 2008 and 2009, Rihanna featured in the singles "If I Never See Your Face Again" with Maroon 5, "Live Your Life" with T.I., and "Run This Town with Jay-Z and Kanye West. She also performed on the charity record "Just Stand Up!" together with many other female artists.

Rihanna's fourth studio effort, Rated R, was released in November 2009. It was described as having a "dark" and "mature" tone. Rated R delivered the promotional single "Wait Your Turn" and the singles "Russian Roulette", "Hard"—a collaboration with Jeezy and "Rude Boy" which topped the US charts. "Rockstar 101" which featured Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash and "Te Amo" were the last two singles. In Summer 2010 Rihanna also appeared on Eminem's single, "Love the Way You Lie", and David Guetta's single, "Who's That Chick?".

Loud, Rihanna's fifth studio album, was released in November 2010. The first single "Only Girl (In the World)" topped the charts in fifteen countries. "What's My Name?" featuring Drake topped the UK and US charts. The subsequent singles were "Raining Men" featuring Nicki Minaj (a US Urban radio only single) and "S&M" which topped the US charts too, followed by "Man Down" and "California King Bed". "Cheers (Drink to That)" followed as the sixth single. In 2011, she also appeared on Kanye West's single "All of the Lights" and Nicki Minaj's single "Fly".

Rihanna's sixth album, Talk That Talk, was released in November 2011. The album's first single, "We Found Love" featuring and produced by Calvin Harris, topped the charts in thirteen countries. It eventually topped the Hot 100 for ten weeks, surpassing her 2007 hit, "Umbrella" as her longest-running chart topper in the country. The album's second and third singles are "You Da One" and "Talk That Talk" featuring Jay-Z. In 2012, Rihanna also appeared on the singles "Princess of China" by Coldplay and "Take Care" by Drake.
