Obigo, formerly known as Teleca Mobile Technologies, is a product brand and a mobile phone multimedia software company.
The product brand, Obigo, originally derived from "go mobile go", is a software suite of applications for mobile devices. It contains applications and services for browsing, SMS and MMS messaging, content management, digital rights management, security, embedded audio/video playback, photo management, SVG animations, IMPS, and e-mail. Obigo software is found in hundreds of millions of phones worldwide from most mobile phone manufacturers. The flagship of the suite is the Obigo Browser, which has patent-pending navigation technologies.
The company Obigo has been in the mobile browsing business since 1997 and marketed the first WAP 1.1 browser. The company was a member of the WAP Forum before it turned into the Open Mobile Alliance.
