Underwater Cameras

Underwater Cameras - Two things you can guarantee most people will do on their Summer holidays is take photos and go swimming. For a long time the two things simply didn't go together. Unless you spent a lot of money on specialist underwater kit, getting your camera wet was fatal. Suzi Perry travels to Mexico for a swim around in the big blue and a bit of underwater photography to test out three of our favourite underwater cameras.

Photo Masterclass

Photo Masterclass - Summer's on its way - and one must have accessory on a good holiday is the latest digital camera. To make sure we get the best from our photos, Jon Bentley's in Blackpool with award winning photographer Annabel Williams. Her laid back style is a good one to emulate for natural but glamourous shots and for The Gadget Show she's taking all the photos using a compact point and shoot camera. So, even if you don't have the best kit, you can still use her advice to get good photos.

Underwater walking Jules Verne style

Underwater walking Jules Verne style - If you want to get close to some of our more distant relatives at the bottom of the ocean then the most common way to go is to squeeze into a wetsuit, link up to a heavy oxygen tank and dive. But now there's a gadget that allows everyone to walk with the fishes. Suzi Perry's still in Mexico to have a go with Sea-Trek - a helmet that's connected to an air supply on the surface which allows you to wander around freely underwater and blend in with the fish - well, sort of.

Wet Wet Wet

Wet Wet Wet - Water pistols are silly, ridiculous, childish and inane, but choosing the right one should be taken as seriously as choosing any other part of your gadget arsenal. The Gadget Show team, led by our own gadgeteer, General Jason Bradbury, has picked a fight with some ex-Gurkhas who now make up a much sought after close protection bodyguard unit. The Gadget Show team, in comparison, look like a group of misfits - but we've got technology on our side. Let the water pistolling commence.

The Critical List - Essential Summer Gadgets

The Critical List - Essential Summer Gadgets - Tom Dunmore on which gadgets you should be packing alongside your swimming trunks and sunhat. Do you need a whole suitcase full of tech bits or can you survive with just a chosen few to keep you going through the whole holiday?

How To... Get a good deal abroad

How To... Get a good deal abroad - This summer, any gadget fan worth their salt will be keeping one eye out for bargains while on holiday. Loads of stuff is cheaper abroad isn't it? Well, not necessarily, and the last thing you want is to fill your bags with goodies, only to discover that they're less expensive back home. So this guide tells you how to check prices and exchange rates whilst you're on the move - so you can be sure that you're getting a good deal when shopping for gadgets abroad.
