The Rangers Football Club Ltd is a limited company formed in June 2012 as part of a bid to replace Rangers F.C. which entered liquidation procedures on 14 June 2012. It has applied to register with the Scottish Football Association and to participate in the Scottish Premier League.
Formation
Charles Green's consortium bought assets from the football club Rangers F.C. (which trades as "The Rangers Football Club plc") after it went into liquidation on the 14th of June 2012. These assets became the property of Sevco 5088 Ltd. Sevco 5088 Ltd's name was subsequently changed to "The Rangers Football Club Ltd." also on the same day. Assets bought from Rangers F.C., included Ibrox Stadium, the Murray Park training facilities and other, smaller assets.
