Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions), or in "articles for deletion" debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. This page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be userfied or emailed to you so the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). This means that content deleted after discussion—at articles for deletion, categories for discussion, or miscellany for deletion among other deletion processes—may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process.
This page is only for requesting undeletion of articles or files which have already been deleted. If the article you are concerned about is still visible, but has a warning message (template) at the top, please do not post here, but follow the instructions on the template or on your talk page.
Note that requests for undeletion is not a replacement for deletion review. If you feel an administrator has erred in closing a deletion discussion or in applying a speedy deletion criterion, please contact them directly. If you discuss but are unable to resolve the issue on their talk page, it should be raised at Misplaced Pages:Deletion review, rather than here.
Please enter the page's title to request its undeletion:To contest deletions that have have already been discussed (in particular, at Articles for deletion), or that are likely to be controversial, please make a request at Misplaced Pages:Deletion review instead. |

One of the reasons this page was deleted as that no one seemed to be able to find any books I have actually written. Please, I know it might not be appropriate for the actual author to reply, but since no one else seems to have even done a search on Amazon.com to see a listing of all my books, I thought I would simply ask that someone at WIKI or a 'reader' just go to Amazon.com, and search my name. I have written 42 books, over 34 DVD's and they are really in print, online and in many books stores. I do not understand why people are allowed to remove my page...after saying they couldn't find any of my books. Just type my name Gambordella on Gooogle, go do Amazon, and you will see them. Is that really so hard?

- Not done - As announced at the top of the page, this process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially and has no applicability to articles deleted after any deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Ted Gambordella, it cannot be undeleted through this process. Nevertheless, if you believe that the consensus found at the discussion was in error, or that significant new information has come to light since the deletion, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user Ron Ritzman (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. GB fan 15:26, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
JFA article should be restored
Misplaced Pages rules notwithstanding, removing an entire article about a notable topic merely due to lack of "independent sources" being cited seems unreasonable. JFA was and is well-known and influential in the punk genre, and I think the deletion of the page is unjustified. -75.162.14.123 (talk) 01:01, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
Done - as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored on request. --Ron Ritzman (talk) 01:32, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

I don't think this page needs to be deleted. Nikesh is not just a multiple world records holder. If he was only a world record holder, I am sure he wouldn't be qualified to be in Misplaced Pages. He is also a writer, journalist, activist and has achieved quite a lot at his young age. So, his biography doesn't need to be deleted from Misplaced Pages. Thank you. -Ath.Sn (talk) 04:55, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

This biography is not just about what world records he has made. In fact, records are only a part off his biography. He has been writer, freelance writer, journalist, activist, UN Volunteer. There are still many pages in Misplaced Pages which simply exist due to the person's single win in any beauty pageant and even playing role in any one film has automatically given someone a place in Misplaced Pages. But yes, this article may be improved but not deleted. Thanks! -202.52.235.145 (talk) 05:08, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

*This biography can be improved but not necessarily be deleted! There are still many pages in Misplaced Pages which exist here simply because a person has won one beauty pageant and also if someone has played role in one film. This biography is here not because the person is just simply a world record holder. -202.52.235.145 (talk) 05:34, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

Let's not delete this article entirely but it can be improved. I don't think the person has been mentioned in this biography is here because of having those records but like as written in the bio and sources mentioned, he has also been writer, journalist, activist. There are still many poorly written articles on Misplaced Pages which have been there due to some overnight transformation of an individual. We need to look on that too. Let's not make this one article a subject matter of controversy. User:Gsdan012 -Gsdan012 (talk) 05:50, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

Additionally, simply talking about the world records of this person also, these are really worth noting. The mention of these world records here is like mentioning the wins of an athlete and films of an actor. But again, it doesn't seem that the person is here in this biography just for the world records but his other contribution too. Here it seems world records of him are good to be mentioned but not the main part of the article. Misplaced Pages has no article of any individual just for being solely a world record holder. -Gsdan012 (talk) 06:01, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

can you tell me why it was deleted? how do I go about updating the Fessenden family line? -Fessbiographer (talk) 17:25, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
- Not done - this article has not been restored because it does not appear to meet our guidelines for inclusion of articles concerning people. In general, Misplaced Pages considers a topic to be notable if there exist multiple reliable sources of information on the topic, external to the subject itself. Articles concerning people will be deleted on sight if they are considered to be unambiguous advertising or promotion, or if they do not contain a credible assertion of the significance of the subject. Most members of the Fessenden family will be as non-notable as "Boston" Kelly, and have no place in an encyclopedia. --Orange Mike | Talk 19:07, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

This is a genuine research centre at Ripoon College Cuddesdon, an Anglican theologiical college linked to the University of Oxford. I have twice tried to upload a page on OxCEPT and it has been deleted. My name is Dr Cathy Ross, a tutor at Ripon College Cuddesdon and Director of OxCEPT. All my contact details are below if you need to contact me. I have put up the page to create awareness of the Centre so that people can know what we are researching and get involved. The latest deletion claimed that it was imporper advertising - I do not see this as advertising but as information about our Centre and research interests.

It appears that User:Intoronto1125 moved this article to his userspace then requested that the page be deleted because it was in his own userspace.
