On 4 May 2006, it was reported on various internet bulletin boards that Robert Prechter would be retiring after a long a controversial career from the company he founded, Elliott Wave International (EWI), along with his long-term co-worker Steven Hochberg. The story has it that he will cease writing on the markets and instead focus on Socionomics. Reports from within EWI say that Mr. Prechter thinks that it would be unethical to keep writing about the stock market after he has been bearish for almost 2 decades. As yet unconfirmed is whether he is turning overall bullish, having had his Grand Supercycle bear market thesis tested to the limit. | |||
