::::::::::Keifer, in slightly over 24 hours you have made 50 contributions. Almost all of them related to the latest Malleus farrago, and you have kept up that sort of pace for days. Asami

I apologize if it wasn't necessary, but Masanori Asami's massive message to you basically repeating everything you removed and adding a new "zomg these people are violating copyright" because of his extremely limited knowledge of the English Misplaced Pages policies was more than anyone would have to read through. Anyway that explains my revert.—Ryulong (琉竜) 05:36, 8 October 2012 (UTC)

That's fine with me. Thanks for your explanation. AGK 13:04, 15 October 2012 (UTC)

Quick help please

Could you deal with Misplaced Pages:Editor assistance/Requests#Personal information on my User Page? -- John of Reading (talk) 17:52, 13 October 2012 (UTC)

Done. AGK 17:54, 13 October 2012 (UTC)

SPI - KoKingsmill

Hi, I see you closed off the KoKingsmill SPI this evening; I am one of the 'suspected' accounts mentioned and I have found the last few weeks very upsetting/frustrating but I am a little confused by your most recent comment when you closed the SPI.

Please could you clarify: does this mean my account is still 'under suspicion'?

I feel I may have inadvertently made a mistake by initially stating the only edit I reverted on the article was vandalism and do admit I later allowed myself to be goaded by KoKingsmill. I regret the comments I made at that point; however, I have diligently ignored KoKingmill's what was, to me, un-called for remarks directed at me on his/her talk page and tried to improve other articles which interest me. I only have one account on Misplaced Pages and as far as I can remember have never made edits without logging in.

I'm not very experienced with Misplaced Pages generally and I'm afraid I don't know the etiquettes involved with something like this (although I have tried to research as much as I can on the help pages to no avail).

Please accept my apologies if I'm acting incorrectly by posting on your talk page; I do hope to learn by my mistakes but unless the mistakes are explained, it's very difficult. Sagaciousphil (talk) 21:05, 13 October 2012 (UTC)

You don't need to worry. AGK 13:02, 15 October 2012 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:Sockpuppet investigations/Morning277

I had added another suspicious user to this SPI yesterday since it hadn't been closed yet, and I left a message for Amalthea but I don't think he had gotten around to it yet. Any chance you could check on (or just provide feedback for) that one so it doesn't get overlooked? VernoWhitney (talk) 21:30, 13 October 2012 (UTC)

I wasn't running any checks in that investigation, so I'll leave this for Amalthea. AGK 13:02, 15 October 2012 (UTC)

Okay, thanks for your reply. VernoWhitney (talk) 16:49, 15 October 2012 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

The Original Barnstar
Hey AGK--I was wondering where you were; you seem now to be working in high-intensity bursts. This just to let you know that it's good to see you on the case. Thanks for your hard work. Drmies (talk) 23:38, 14 October 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the barnstar and your kind comments! I help at SPI when I can, but my availability is sporadic. AGK 13:01, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
I was very saddened to see your commentary at the Arbitration Request, which turned into a banfest. "Malleus is a net negative"--not correct. Drmies (talk) 01:36, 21 October 2012 (UTC)

Massive ip block

You are blocking 16,382 ips from editing. Are there really that many vandals coming from random addresses that you can't be more specific? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.228.201.161 (talk) 02:24, 15 October 2012 (UTC)

To which IP range do you refer? I've blocked quite a few, so I can't say whether a block was (or continues to be) necessary without knowing which block you mean. AGK 13:04, 15 October 2012 (UTC)

Northeastern US Decision

I've seen your group's decision and I'm a little confused. Would you rather see a long and protracted edit-war over this? It's very clear that on this issue, there's a sharp disagreement. At least one editor is against any mention of the disputed states and I'm equally convinced that there should at least be some mention of these states. Could you play the role of mediator in this? G. Capo (talk) 14:49, 15 October 2012 (UTC)

WikiProject Good Articles - Participant Clean-up (Second Call)

You are reciving this message because you have not added your name to the list of active WikiProject Good Articles participants. Though you may have recived the first message sent out in September, some users may have had that message archived before coming online to read it and therefore never saw it. If you are deeming yourself inactive with the WikiProject please disregard this message as your name will be moved to an "inactive participant" list at the end of the clean-up. If you are still active with the WikiProject, please be sure to include your name on this list. The current deadline to add your name to the list (if you are still active) is November 1, 2012. A third and final message will be sent out during the last week of the clean-up before the deadline. Thank-you.--EdwardsBot

Page Curation newsletter - closing up!

Hey all :).

We're (very shortly) closing down this development cycle for Page Curation. It's genuinely been a pleasure to talk with you all and build software that is so close to my own heart, and also so effective. The current backlog is 9 days, and I've never seen it that low before.

However! Closing up shop does not mean not making any improvements. First-off, this is your last chance to give us a poke about unresolved bugs or report new ones on the talkpage. If something's going wrong, we want to know about it :). Second, we'll hopefully be taking another pass over the software next year. If you've got ideas for features Page Curation doesn't currently have, stick them here.

Again, it's been an honour. Thanks :). Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 12:30, 17 October 2012 (UTC)

Advice on Recent Sockpuppet investigation

Hi AGK,

You recently closed /archived the following sockpuppet investigation. Misplaced Pages:Sockpuppet investigations/31.185.230.165/Archive. In your comments you referred to the need for appropriate diffs being needed in order to investigate this case. From this I took you assumed there were eithe no diffs supplied or that the diff supplied wee of no value. However as I dilegently set out numerous diffs for each of the article pages which had been edited by the sockpupet I am not sure if thee were overlooked or were inadequate? Please could you advise how the report could have been improved as the said sockpuppet has just struck again using yet another IP address. The assumption from the Check Use report is that the editor is either an employee of an ISP so can freely access virgin IP addresses each time or is able to access these from outside the organisation. Anyway that is by the by fo the moment as I just need to know what I should do. An SP report or if not where I go in Misplaced Pages to get theis matter dealt with. Thanks.Tmol42 (talk) 21:57, 17 October 2012 (UTC)

PeteRoy

I just got a WP:UTRS request from this user. From what it looks like, his claim to be just a friend of Sentineldk appears believable. If it is true, then I don't think an indef block for a single act of meatpuppetry at an AfD is warranted. -- King of 10:59, 18 October 2012 (UTC)

Suggestion

Leave clerking to clerks.--Tznkai (talk) 21:40, 19 October 2012 (UTC)

I've never believed that an arbitrator shouldn't immediately remove any comment he or she thinks is disruptive, in favour of ordering a clerk (behind closed doors) to do so. But I notice that a certain member of the community asks "how dare I?", believes I'm "dishonest or incompetent", and thinks I ought to resign—so what do I know? :-) AGK 22:30, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
Arbs shouldn't order clerks either, but ask. And in this case, this was an argument directed against you in particular, so prudentially, even if arbs, generally should do something about it, you, in particular, should not have.--Tznkai (talk) 22:32, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for clarifying why you object to my redaction. I take your point. AGK 22:38, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
Anyway, I had already suggest to to Regents Park that a better solution was to place the list in a {{hat}} tag for usability. That would allow him/her to make the point without causing usability problems. Would that be an acceptable compromise?--Tznkai (talk) 01:48, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
I noticed the lists had been restored but hatted. I'm very happy with that arrangement, and am rather kicking myself that I didn't think of it at the time. Thanks, AGK 20:58, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

Silly be

Erasing some six years hard work on a article work, when you you self have little to no actual content work youself. And you wonder why people feel alienated from the project they gave so many thousands of hours to. From you such arrogance and disconnect. Your representing the wrong people. Ceoil (talk) 00:44, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

Without beginning to get into the rest of the hyperbole, AGK did not erase six years hard work, he removed a list.--Tznkai (talk) 01:51, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
he, fair enough, though I liked it better the way I put it. Perhalps it was a little hyperbolic. It didnt seem apt, his removal, considering it was a retort to his move to enact the ban. It was an ill judged move none the less; I feel so much the better for saying it, regardless of tone. Seems the community is slpit in a 3,500:3.5 ratio (regular editors to voting arbs, two of whom are now despratly back peddling). (Ceoil (talk) 14:40, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
AGK, I think you should resign. You should resign not even because you forgot to declare your other accounts, but because as an influence on Misplaced Pages you are a net negative, AGK. You create no encyclopedic content. You only create drama. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.4.37.48 (talk) 17:06, 21 October 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for your comment. AGK 17:06, 23 October 2012 (UTC)

You were mentioned at...

It seems someone has forgotten to inform you that you are under discussion here, regarding a proposal to end your membership of Arbcom. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 21:54, 21 October 2012 (UTC)

Unless AGK has properly resigned, he should be monitoring the ArbCom clarification case page. Kiefer.Wolfowitz 08:05, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
Right after Malleus gets banned, we're going to ban all those that have supported his repeated personal attacks...we're trying to build an encyclopedia here...least that was the original plan...hard to stay on that topic when you're busy calling people arsehole or wasting time defending such things.MONGO 08:20, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
You stay on that banarama, big man! Kiefer.Wolfowitz 08:43, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
Mongo, I don't think that's a particularly constructive comment, nor particularly relevant to anything myself or KW have said in this section. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 12:08, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
Apparently I have a gift for irritating others.... Kiefer.Wolfowitz 12:17, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
I see...but Keifers trolling comment about AGK needing to resign was?MONGO 13:24, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
Sincere and brilliant as always, but (as too often the case, alas) panned by the community, so far. Kiefer.Wolfowitz 14:08, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
Demiurge, thank you for letting me know. I was aware of that bizarre proposal, despite its proponent's failure to notify me of it. AGK 12:27, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
AGK,
Please acknowledge that I placed a notice on the ArbCom page. If you don't monitor the ArbCom pages, then of course you should resign for another reason.
Regarding "bizarre". You and the rest of the committee are the subject of a vote of no confidence. (linked 18:34, 23 October 2012 (UTC))
Kiefer.Wolfowitz 12:47, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
Kiefer, placing a notice on an arbitration requests page is not good enough. While I am a member of that committee, and I do read almost everything that is published on that page, there is no guarantee that I will do so immediately after its publication, and it is particularly unlikely that I will notice a supplement to an existing statement. On what you have published to the elections RFC, is that really a "vote of no confidence"? You may say it is, but it appears to me (and everybody else that responded to your statement, before it was archived) to be an attempt to turn a discussion about the parameters of an upcoming election into another forum in which you can express your disagreement with the committee's recent motion to ban Malleus. Given that you are also using your talk page, the clarifications page, Malleus' talk page, and my talk page to do precisely this, I do not hesitate to say that what you call a "vote of no confidence" is actually an attempt to bully me and other arbitrators off the committee for voting contrary to your interests. I hope you will forgive me for not taking your recent remarks, nor your "vote", entirely seriously. AGK 17:05, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
You should be off the committee for having failed to disclose your previous accounts(c.f.) and failed RfA (and your having then edited of your closed failed RfA to your advantage), for your ridiculous statement that Malleus was a net negative to the project, and for your having censored Reaper Eternal's rebuttal of that assessment.
You may hesitate or not, as you wish. But your slight contributions to Misplaced Pages and your incompetent performance as an arbitrator, to the extent that you have been participating (which is available for all to see), make such statements of little weight. Kiefer.Wolfowitz 17:34, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
Kiefer...what are you moaning about. Your friend is safe for now so their will be plenty more drama for you in a week to few months from now.MONGO 18:02, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
AGK...is final, final warning akin to the double secret jeopardy probation Delta House got in the movie Animal House? Just musing...congratulate you on your patience.MONGO 17:30, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) Keifer, you are probably doing more harm than good here, and in a few other venues also. Maybe slow down a bit? I, for one, sometimes find my eyes glazing over with the sheer volume of the stuff, repeated across numerous pages as it often is. I can't and wouldn't want to prevent you from making your points here or elsewhere but it sometimes looks like ranting, which I am sure is not your intention. Less haste, more speed. - Sitush (talk) 19:56, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
I made a brief comment at ArbCom and made the proposal at the RfC on ArbCom elections (as the best place to reach a wide audience). After this, I have only responded to others. (1) John asked me for clarification, and I replied at my talk page. (2) AGK/Anthony started another conversation on John's page, to which NYB directed me when he commented on my note. I replied to NYB and at John's page. (3) I responded to Demiurge1000's and AGK's comments here. Kiefer.Wolfowitz 21:15, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
Actually, some might see KW as having an important role in balancing out Mongo's effect of increasing sympathy for Malleus. Mongo's posts increase sympathy for Malleus, KW's posts decrease sympathy for Malleus. They're like polar opposites... as well as each having the opposite effect from what they presumably imagine they're trying to achieve. From a philosophical perspective, it's most calming and harmonious. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 21:05, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
You are an expert on Misplaced Pages now? Kiefer.Wolfowitz 21:18, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
I wouldn't go that far. Come to think of it, I'm not even much of an expert on Mongo - haven't interacted with them much. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 21:23, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
