Sure Thing
Im not an Admin but i'd be glad to help! Empty2005 06:19, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
- Sure, when I get a chance :-) I'm incredibly busy on Misplaced Pages, at work and in normal life. One thing I can do for you is to pray for you and that God blesses your work. If I find half a moment I could actually contribute too :-) Ta bu shi da yu 08:18, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
- I'd be happy to help as well. I can, during my down time (which sometimes happens), at least help get a knowledgebase started. Question though, does CPOV include catholocism, 7th day adventism, or any of the other less than traditional sects? -- Dragoonmac - 20:49, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
- In short, yes, CPOV is multidenominational.
I accept your offer
I will be honor to help you with what you ask for. -borincano75.
I volunteer
Hello. I saw your project and would like to volunteer. You can Wiki email me for more details on my background. God Bless! TruthCrusader 08:39, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Existing project
You might be interested in an existing Christian version of wikipedia at http://www.orthodoxwiki.org. You could combine your efforts with theirs, or just look at how they've approached the project organizationally and borrow some ideas. Peace, Wesley 21:38, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
- I let him know that we're aware of OrthodoxWiki (also AnglicanWiki and Theopedia). Grigory Deepdelver of BrockenboringTCF 22:03, 5 April 2006 (UTC) (The editor formerly known as Archola).
Re Christian POV site
- Hi. In responding to something posted by User:FranksValli, I stumbled across the "Christianity Knowledge Base" site. Out of curiosity, I decided to browse the articles, and noted the article on "666" . However, in clicking on the sourcing link, I noticed this --
- The page notes the following, "6 is sigma, ς final form". Unfortunately, the lunate sigma was not the equivalent of a "6" in classical Greek, the older letter "digamma" represented a six.
- From "Greek-English Lexicon", Liddell & Scott A Greek-English Lexicon:
"The final σ was written s. This σ must not be confounded with ς which was in fact the digamma, F, vau, and occupied the sixth place of the old Greek alphabet: hence ς’ = 6."
- Given that the article states "The derivation of the number is somewhat complicated and comes from an examination of the original greek manuscripts of the Bible, where the greek letters also stood for numbers", this is rather important, as the Septuasgint was written long after the digamma had ceased to be used except as a number. •Jim62sch• 11:23, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
- OK, I added a note. Feel free to make it smaller, or reference it in another way. See, we skeptics have our value. :)
- PS, don't let Homes (Homestarmy) know who made the edit -- I'll never live it down. ;) •Jim62sch• 00:15, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
- Your secret is safe with me. Thanks for the help! ;) -- nsandwich 00:00, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
I won't let Homes know either, although it's quite obvious.
I recreated my account at ChristWiki. I'm letting you know as you requested. Arch O. La 11:33, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
