The Guardians of Prophecy is a Big Finish Productions audio drama based on the long-running British science fiction television series Doctor Who.
Plot
The Doctor and Peri arrive on the last remaining world in The Traken Union. The peaceful planet Serenity is also the home of the mysterious Melkur.

Continuity
- The Melkur and the planet Traken were seen in the 1981 Fourth Doctor television story, The Keeper of Traken. It was unintentionally destroyed by The Master in the next story, Logopolis. The Doctor's companion Nyssa was the only known survivor.
- The Fifth Doctor and Nyssa returned to Traken at a point before it was destroyed in the 2001 audio story Primeval.
Notes
- Johnny Byrne wrote the story that introduced the Melkur, The Keeper of Traken. He also wrote the Fifth Doctor television stories, Arc of Infinity and Warriors of the Deep.
- Graham Cole originally played the Melkur in The Keeper of Traken. He was also in numerous other stories, usually playing monsters.
- Nigel Lambert was in the 1980 Fourth Doctor television story, The Leisure Hive.
- Simon Williams was in the 1988 Seventh Doctor television story Remembrance of the Daleks.
