License tagging for Image:1stsgt.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:1stsgt.gif. Misplaced Pages gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Misplaced Pages, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions. 22:05, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use Image:Military12.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Military12.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Misplaced Pages articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Angr/talk 15:36, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Image source problem with Image:Military12.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Military12.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Misplaced Pages:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:36, 27 August 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Angr/talk 15:36, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Military12.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Military12.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Misplaced Pages constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Angr/talk 15:36, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:MarineMilitaryAcademysm.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:MarineMilitaryAcademysm.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 20:13, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
Problems with upload of Image:Ministries us edu stanthony.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Ministries us edu stanthony.gif. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Misplaced Pages, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.
To add this information, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions.

File source problem with File:1stsgt.gif
Thank you for uploading File:1stsgt.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Misplaced Pages's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:36, 29 August 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:36, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Alex Jones (radio host). Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.
In particular, the three-revert rule states that:
- Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Dr.K. 02:49, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
- What? No I was not in an edit war with you, we were editing at the same time. By the way, could you explain where all the information on Michelle Malkin went? If the "aggressive" adjective was not in the citation then delete it, don't delete the whole section (especially when it is well documented).--Drdak (talk) 00:51, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Uniform of the day
The article Uniform of the day has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- 4 1/2 year old unref article
While all contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Lionel (talk) 23:25, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
- If you are interested in the sources of a current article please ask for references and leave a tag on the page instead of proposing its deletion. The topic discussed in the article does exist. I will post a request for references.--Drdak (talk) 04:40, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Cara Hartmann
The article Cara Hartmann has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Uh, individual fails notabiltiy guidelines quite resoundingly. Uploading 5 youtube videos does not seem very signficiant :) References are trivial - although the mail goes into more detail it only relates to the video and has little to do with the biography.
If treated a little more widely this may be deserving a place in internet hits, or internet meme's etc. But as a biography... no.

Nomination of Cara Hartmann for deletion
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Cara Hartmann is suitable for inclusion in Misplaced Pages according to Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Cara Hartmann until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Errant 21:54, 24 July 2011 (UTC)

Months-old, dead discussions have no bearing on a future or current consensus-building discussion. Ergo, you should start a new thread if you want to attempt to change the current consensus revision.Toa Nidhiki05 23:39, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
- Is there anything in Misplaced Pages:Consensus that says that opinions in previous threads don't count?--Drdak (talk) 23:42, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
- It is common sense they don't. Consensus isn't built on old comments and month-old threads, it is based on current actions. Toa Nidhiki05 23:45, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
- Please show me why we have a certain allotted time to get people's opinions in before they "expire". Last I understood there is no time limit on consensus-building.--Drdak (talk) 23:49, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
- For God's sake, we don't count month-old comments from dead discussions for current consensus. It simply doesn't work like that. If you seriously want to go down this road again, start a new thread. Toa Nidhiki05 23:51, 12 February 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help.
