| Another hospital with the name of Saidu hospital was founded in 1954 in the capital of the state, Saidu Sharif, mainly for female patients and called '''Zanana hospital'''. The Saidu Teaching Hospital, in Swat, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan consists of two wings 1.5 km (0.93 mi) apart from each other, having 500 beds and a further extension of 500 bedded indoor facilities in progress.
There are separate operating theatres, X-Ray department, clinical laboratories, wards, etc. in each wing. There are 22 sanctioned posts of specialists. The catchment area is the whole of Malakand Division and some parts of Kohistan District. It is the fifth largest hospital in the province.
The Saidu group of teaching hospitals is situated near the River Swat and Saidu Sharif airport. This hospital was established in 1927, consisting of an OPD, and one medical officer in charge, Dispensary, Dressing room and two small wards for male and female patients built about a central wing.
