Japanese occupation
During the Japanese occupation, the school was used as a shelter for sisters and orphans from Taiping and Singapore. After the Japanese left on the 1 October 1945, the school was reopened and 800 new students were accepted, and the school continued to expand.
Facilities
Facilities include offices, Principal's room, teachers' room, computer lab, canteen, Co-operative, photocopy shop, field and hockey turf.

Hockey
Hockey is one of the sports that Puteri excels in in state and national level. The Puteri hockey coach is the coach of the under-18 girls hockey team MSSM Negeri Sembilan and manager for the Malaysian national women hockey team.
