:''You're'' telling me not to be rude, after that little missive? That's rich. I suggest you invest in a text editor, learn to merge edits after an edit conflict, or simply override edit conflicts and reintegrate any interim changes later. I've used all of these tactics successfully. — ] (]) (]) 12:09, 15 May 2006 (UTC) :''You're'' telling me not to be rude, after that little missive? That's rich. Questioning of actions

I hate to say this but you never know with wikipedia - you may be dealing with a very experienced sys admin in real life who does not understand your take on the rules. It's never worth upsetting a newbie even if they are driving you nuts as they could be a good useful editor in the long run. Everyone thinks you're an idiot when you are a sys admin and every decision will be questioned by some user who has trouble even working the vending machine. I know - I've been there - had my back up policy overuled by an idiot (powerful) user who wanted the mag tape drive in the mornings (yes I'm that old!) then lost his stuff when the disk crashed - hah! Just a thought. (I hate my new "naked" self btw) Sophia 11:21, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your kind and constructive remarks. I admit that I may have acted too rashly, but I hope everyone involved can understand my reasons for acting as I did. — Phil Welch (t) (c) 11:24, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

No harm no foul

I appreciate your experience here and that you have no idea who I am. I assure you that I'm not supporting trolls and not part of any posse. I just want to de-escalate. All's cool as far as I'm concerned. Cheers -- Samir धर्म 11:31, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

K. I appreciate it. — Phil Welch (t) (c) 11:32, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

What part of inuse don't you understand?

What part of the template {{inuse}} don't you understand. Try not to be such a rude person. Thankfully I copied my edits, or your ill-advised and foolish edit could have made me lose everything. Next time READ the template.{{inuse}} Signed:Travb 12:00, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
