Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Misplaced Pages pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. • The best way to figure things out is just to try (For coded bits like references, It can help to copy from other places and just change the bits you need). You can always roll it back to a previous version if you make a mistake. Adding reference on wiki articles

Hello Irondome! Please do not forget to add references for the content you add to Misplaced Pages. Adding a well formatted references is very easy to do.

1. While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "cite" click on it
2. Then click on "templates",
3. Choose the most appropriate template and fill as many details as you can,

This will add a well formatted reference that would be helpful in case the website link (web URL) becomes inactive (dead/link rot) after some time. You can read more about it on Help:Edit toolbar or see this video File:RefTools.ogv. thanks and regards --DBigXray 07:58, 26 June 2012 (UTC)

Edit summary

Please type reasonable edit summary about your changes. typing four tildes "~~~~" is not needed in edit summaries anywhere. typing four tildes "~~~~" is only needed when you are posting a comment on talk page, even there you should only sign at the end of "your comment" on the talk page and not in the edit box. • I can understand what caused this. The 2nd thread on this page, clearly explains your over cautiousness . Even in my early days, I was terrorized and regularly haunted by SineBot. and as if that was not enough, an editor came and posted a horrific image File:SineBot gerbil.jpg on my talk page. :) Luckily the haunting did not last for too long. and I learnt my way like you. cheers--DBigXray 10:03, 26 June 2012 (UTC)

• Agreed, thats the joy of learning, making few mistakes and learning on your own. I did the same and I was not even aware that there existed something such as the adoption program until few months back.
