Welcome!
Hello, UsmanullahPK, and welcome to Misplaced Pages! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- The five pillars of Misplaced Pages
- Tutorial
- How to edit a page and How to develop articles
- How to create your first article (using the Article Wizard if you wish)
- Simplified Manual of Style
Since you've shown some interest in editing topics related to Pakistan, we hope you'll stay and add content to Pakistan-related articles. Pakistani topics are generally underrepresented on Misplaced Pages and you can help counter this imbalance by becoming a regular contributor and by joining or watchlisting Pakistan-related discussions (for example, Notice board for Pakistan-related topics). Again, welcome!
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Misplaced Pages:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}}
before the question. Mar4d (talk) 18:56, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
WikiProject Pakistan invitation
Welcome!Hello! You look like someone who might be interested in joining the Pakistan WikiProject and so I thought I'd drop you a line and invite you! We'd love to have you help us :-) Mar4d (talk) 18:57, 14 December 2012 (UTC) |
Hi, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. I'm from WikiProject Pakistan. We're a group of editors working to improve Misplaced Pages's coverage of Pakistan.
There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:
- You can give your input at project's main discussion page and keep it on your watchlist: Misplaced Pages talk:Notice board for Pakistan-related topics.
- You can !vote and work on saving articles that are up for deletion at Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Pakistan.
- Want to know how good our articles are? The assessment department is working on rating the quality of every Pakistan article in Misplaced Pages.
- Can you code? The automation department uses automated and semi-automated methods to perform batch tasks that would be tedious to do manually.
- Please participate in any of our descendant workgroups that might interest you.
- Add your name in the members at Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Pakistan/Members. There's also a user box template which you can put on your user page to identify yourself as a member: {{User WikiProject Pakistan}}

Your edit at Messiah
Hi - alternative spellings are normally only relevant in the original article, and the spelling of a section heading should always match the spelling and title of the main article. Thanks. Dougweller (talk) 19:38, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Israelites and the Cow
Hello UsmanullahPK,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Israelites and the Cow for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Wakowako (talk) 04:50, 17 December 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Pakistani rupee sign.png
A tag has been placed on File:Pakistani rupee sign.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section F2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. Proposed deletion of Mukul Harish
The article Mukul Harish has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Misplaced Pages policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. ~~Ebe123~~ → report 13:49, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
Image tagging for File:Mukulragini.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Mukulragini.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Misplaced Pages, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.
To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 04:05, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:Mukulragini.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Mukulragini.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Misplaced Pages articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 08:55, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of ݛ
The article ݛ has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- I can find no source to verify that this sign is used to represent the Pakistani rupee in any official capacity.
While all contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. WikiDan61ReadMe!! 23:11, 8 January 2013 (UTC)
- I see that you removed the proposed deletion tag. Can you provide a reliable source for this symbol's use? WikiDan61ReadMe!! 05:21, 9 January 2013 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of The Three Messengers (Quran)
The article The Three Messengers (Quran) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- This article provides only the text of the story, with no interpretation. As such, it may be a valid article for WikiSource, but no for Misplaced Pages.
While all contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. WikiDan61ReadMe!! 14:34, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
Ratan hindi
This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Ratan hindi, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://markazulislam.wordpress.com/2012/01/19/someone-who-witnessed-the-splitting-of-the-moon-in-india/.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Misplaced Pages:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)Template:Z117 MadmanBot (talk) 00:35, 16 January 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Ratan hindi
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Ratan hindi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Misplaced Pages takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Misplaced Pages to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Misplaced Pages:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Misplaced Pages:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
§everal⇒|Times 00:44, 16 January 2013 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Anbiya.png
Thanks for uploading File:Anbiya.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Misplaced Pages uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Misplaced Pages. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:05, 8 February 2013 (UTC)

Talk on new category
Hi, I have seen that you are currently working on categories and recently made a category Category:Islamic templates for templates. These types of categories are always helpful but the thing is that we already have a category Category:Islam templates for all template related to Islam. So i believe that you should add templates in that category instead of creating a new one and one thing more the category belongs to the template namespace not for article namespace as you did here. Rest is fine keep up with the good work. -- Ibrahim ebi (talk) 05:42, 12 February 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for February 14
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Lower Dir District, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Swat, Malakand and Konar (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Micro focused template.
Hi, as you are new to Misplaced Pages therefore there are some things you need to get familiar with. The purpose of a template is that it can be used across many articles like Template:Quran see here the number of articles the template is being used is of a greater volume but the Template:Khadijah you just made is a micro focused template as here and in general we avoid them because it become hard to keep an eye on them and safe them from vandalism. -- Ibrahim ebi (talk) 07:58, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
