Photos on ABC, CBS, NBC list of programs
I'm inquiring your feedback.
I was thinking of replacing one or two of the cast photos and replacing instead by the logos of the shows, similarly to what is already the case on the ABC list with "NBC on ABC". This idea is to bring more variety to the articles since these articles are after all about TV shows (and not cast members of TV shows). The number of images would stay the same as it currently is, but we would replace some photos of cast members for either logos or actual scenes of the shows. For example, the photo of Ellen Pompeo could be replaced either by the Grey's Anatomy logo or a scene of the show. The ideal would be to have an equal number of images cast members, logos, and, if possible, scenes. But I don't want the number of images to increase as I think they are already too images on the article as it is.
Do you want to go with this idea? Or you prefer the status quo. Thanks in advance for your opinion. Farine (talk) 17:45, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
- I think you meant "NBA on ABC" there. I wouldn't swap out pics for logos. Going back to the Fox page (where all the hulla-baloo started) people seem to like the pictures, so I'd just leave it as is.
- The consenus was to keep the pics over there, so for uniformity's sake I added pics to the other networks. But I made sure that the pics were of stars of the network's highest rated/most popular/longest running prime time shows, as well as their nightly news anchors and late night talk show hosts.
- I also made sure the network's sports franchises were represented. Quite honestly, I'd rather have a pic of Bob Costas for NBC, but there are none availible on wiki with any quality to them, which is why I chose the ND logo due to their long association with the peacock network...likewise that's why I put the NBA on ABC logo on their page, as that's ABC's top rated sports property, but they don't have that "Face of the network" personality to stick up on the board. Joe Buck (Fox - MLB/NFL) and Jim Nantz (CBS - NFL/PGA/NCAA hoops) meet that qualification, as they're their respective network's top announcer for numerous sports.

- No problem. Cheers. Farine (talk) 22:48, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

Ricardo Rodriguez/El Local
It is not like you said. The article exists to inform people. El Local do not appear on WWE.com. So the article needs to inform about him. The character is not part of the roster. He is not a part of any storyline. And Slam is a children's show. It is not everyone who watches it. And there is the fact that El Local does not even have a titontron. He is more or less like a local wrestler (his ring name is because of it). WWEJobber (talk) 03:37, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
- It is a small little note. So the place is there. It is not a lot of information. It is just the difference between one character and the other. WWEJobber (talk) 03:49, 11 November 2012 (UTC)

Brand Extension/House Shows.
They continue to list the rosters separated on WWE.com. And the few "mixed" house shows are just in the United States. In world tours the wrestlers still travel with their respective rosters. Note that I have the care to put the word "some" there. WWEJobber (talk) 19:23, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
- In you own words: "virtually all house show". If you do not agree with the brands division you have to call out WWE to change this in WWE.com. WWEJobber (talk) 19:36, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
- I do not assign any wrestler to any brand in any article. I just said that WWE does it in WWE.com. Maybe WWE is "disruptive". Are you gonna ask to have WWE blocked? WWEJobber (talk) 19:57, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
Civility, PA, AGF
I have collapsed the section you started on the House Shows matter on the List of personnel talk page. It was not civil, it assumed bad faith on the part of WWEJobber, and lobbed unwarranted accusations at him/her. To be honest, your behavior on that page is at least as concerning as WWEJobber's. Misplaced Pages is not the WWE, and participants can't treat it like a fan site. Yes, WWEJobber should have started the discussion on the talk page after being reverted, and I've talked to him/her about this. But if you're going to immediately treat a very small number of edits, which the user has even tried to justify, as negatively as you did, I can understand why s/he wouldn't want to discuss further. The very fact that you came to me asking for a block when the other person hadn't done anything even close to blockworthy, and that you said the editor had broken 3RR when s/he wasn't even close is further bad faith on your part. Please, try to work collaboratively. This means that there will be times when others disagree with you, and you have to work together to find a solution. Not work against one another, but together, cooperatively. Qwyrxian (talk) 22:49, 13 November 2012 (UTC)

WWEJobber
Say, I've tried talking to Jobber about those three NXT superstars, but he's so dead set on keeping them in Developmental until what he thinks is a "proper" debut(with WWE profiles and the removal of their NXT profiles). I've given up on him, can you help?--Keith Okamoto (talk) 05:31, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
NXT wrestlers
You are wrong. When the Nexus invaded Raw all of them (except for Daniel Bryan) were still in developmental. They left the developmental almost a month after their Raw debut. The developmental wrestlers were never moved automatically. WWEJobber (talk) 05:53, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
- You will keep the article as it is now until they appear here http://www.wwe.com/superstars and disappear from here http://www.fcwwrestling.info/NXT-Wrestling-Superstars.html Simple as that. WWEJobber (talk) 06:02, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

Developmental
Seth, Dean and Roman are still developmental wrestlers. Seth including is still developmental champion. Just a fact. And just a(n important) note. WWEJobber (talk) 00:38, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
- Just to add another fact: all the Nexus guys were under developmental contract when they main evented Summerslam 2010. And it was always noted on the article this kind of case (as you can see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=List_of_WWE_personnel&oldid=380376810 but in this case the FCW name was used to justify the developmental contract). WWEJobber (talk) 00:56, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
- I just explained above that the developmental wrestlers on the main roster were always recognized as such on the article (with a link to prove it) and that they even main evented Summerslam in this kind of situation. And Johnny Curtis did not officially debuted as Fandango (if you watch NXT episodes he is still wrestling with Johnny Curtis name). WWEJobber (talk) 19:33, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
- It never mattered to the articles if the show is aired tape-delayed because, championship reigns apart, we have the mission to inform without give spoilers. So he did not debut yet. WWEJobber (talk) 19:41, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
- So read it again carefully to understand when it could be used (mainly the "Broadcast and release delays"). It explain that, for example, a spoiler could be posted when a movie or a TV show episode aired somewhere but not everywhere. In the case of NXT it was not aired anywhere. So it does not matter if the show is taped or not. WWEJobber (talk) 19:54, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
- sometimes guys on the main roster also work down in the minors,. I totally agree with you. But this is not the case. The fact in here is developmental guys working on main roster. We are not talking about Cena or Punk appearing on NXT. We are talking about three developmental wrestlers appearing on Raw and Smackdown. WWEJobber (talk) 20:20, 8 December 2012 (UTC)

Final warning
I've been thinking about this edit of yours all day. I stopped myself from commenting earlier, because I was afraid I was overreacting, but I just can't see the justification for your on-going battleground mentality and ownership problems. The problem at that article is not one person holding the article hostage. The problem is that you and others were able to go along for so long making the page however you wanted, based upon your own original research, without a concern for site-wide policies. Incrediblehulk has gotten my point--you need sources to verify your positions. WWE is a creative work; that means that deciding what something "means" is a matter of interpretation. That means that we, as Misplaced Pages editors, cannot do it. We must rely upon what sources say. We cannot rely on what the WWE sites themselves say, except for basic facts for which there is no contention. Anything that involves sorting or classifying individuals must be done based upon secondary sources. If said sources do not exist, then we cannot classify them. Period. There is no exception to this. We cannot sit here debating what the definition of a developmental wrestler is.
If you persist with treating this like it's a fight and with attempting to assert that you and others should be allowed to do what you've always done, I don't see any choice but to seek sanctions against you for disruption. I really don't want it to come to this. Are you not understanding the points I've raised before? Or do you think I'm just wrong? I would prefer to help you than to seek sanctions, but the disruption cannot continue. Qwyrxian (talk) 13:18, 19 December 2012 (UTC)

Please note
My intent is never to be rude. I regret if, based on this deleted response, you took my post the wrong way. The point I was making is that speculation is all well and good in other places (e.g., discussion boards), but it does little to advance the shape of article content. Misplaced Pages content reflects verifiable source material. Personal views are not relevant in this context – that's all I'm saying. Levdr1lostpassword / talk 01:16, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
- I deleted the post because I wanted to catch myself before I said something I'd regret later. All I'm saying is that there is an actual person that's on the other side of the screen - a fact that soemtimes is forgotten in the cyber world - gotta watch how you put things, that's all. Vjmlhds 03:19, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
- I try to watch how I say things. More specifically, I try to focus on content. When I said "your speculation is not relevant here", I meant exactly what I said. Speculating over what may or may not air on a radio station in the future, in the absence of verifiable source material, is not relevant to the editing process for the station's article. Ultimately, I have no control over how you feel about reading my posts; if I notice that you've taken offense to something I've said, as in this case, I try to clarify my original point. Hopefully I've done that here. And hopefully my original point hasn't been lost in this tiring back-and-forth. "I think this/that will happen" doesn't matter on Misplaced Pages; what does matter is what reliable sources have to say. Clear (and fair) enough? Levdr1lostpassword / talk 04:26, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
