The Germans is perhaps the nost famous episode of the BBC sitcom, Fawlty Towers.
This episode gave the English language the phrase "don't mention the war". Hotel manager Basil Fawlty (whose normal eccentricity is compounded even further in this episode by the effects of concussion) repeatedly tells his staff not to "mention the war" to a group of German guests, but - in a series of Freudian slips - repeatedly does so himself.
