== Was he really referenced in the 2008 film? ==

Not to spoil the new movie, but, I'm pretty sure the Ten Rings featured in the first two films had next-to-nothing to do with the character in the third film who is specifically referred to as the Mandarin. I don't usually edit articles on recent films, so I'm not sure how we should deal with this: at present the new film is probably the closest to thing to a ] that ... it doesn't even specifically state that the film's Mandarin has nothing to do with "the Ten Rings" ... do we need to leave the inaccurate information in the article until a reliable source actually discusses it? ] (]) 15:31, 26 April 2013 (UTC)

Interesting

It's interesting to note that nobody has related The Mandarin to the "Ten Rings" terrorist group from the Iron Man Movie. --24.44.81.211 (talk) 08:23, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

His "abilities" appear to be glitched. It should read that he is a scientific genuis and superhumanly skilled martial artist. Yet it actually reads that he has the ability to rifle through space bins. ???? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.245.67.37 (talk) 02:45, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Should the ability to teleport the rings back to himself still be included? That power seems to have been forgotten. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.245.67.37 (talk) 18:47, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Mandarin image resolution

Is it just me, or does our image for The Mandarin excessively large? 1038 x 1024. That's the size of a wallpaper. This is a huge, high quality image. Now it's time to give that image a fair use rationale, but I'm not sure that the use is really fair. Just to identify this character, need no where near that resolution. Would anyone object if I were to reduce the resolution on this image? -- Lilwik 02:19, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Mandarin.jpg

Image:Mandarin.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Misplaced Pages article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Past to Present

I think I have fixed the tense issue in the fictional biography section by rewriting everything into the present tense. It likely needs to be checked. Also, I think there may need to be some grammatical corrections in there somewhere. LonelyBeacon (talk) 05:10, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

Repeated Reversions

MykulClaymaw (talk) 05:59, 8 February 2010 (UTC)The article contradicts the actual origin given in the comics. I have corrected it repeatedly based on a close and careful reading of the actual comics. Yet someone keeps reverting it to a copy of the old flawed OHOTMU article. Can someone give me a good reason for going with the OHOTMU over the actual books?

Could you please state what comics you are getting this from? Also, you should know that this article is being discussed here Cerebellum (talk) 14:27, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
Tales of Suspense story #62 titled "The Origin of The Mandarin", I have yet to find anything in-comics that contradict it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MykulClaymaw (talkcontribs) 17:08, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
If you put it back in, please add citations and I think no one will have a problem with that. 24.148.0.83 (talk) 13:00, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
Alrighty. I will wait until the end of the day for someone to bring up objections, then I am editing the Tales of Suspense #62 origin back in.

1994 TV series

In the 1990's series, it was the Mandarin who captured Tony Stark and forced him to create the Iron Man armour: the role originally played by Wong Chu.24.57.249.250 (talk) 00:51, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

cite comic not working

In the Heart of Darkness section, there are three uses of the cite comic template which don't work. It seems to be written correctly, but it just has the information there, instead of at the bottom in the proper section. Dream Focus 19:52, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

Article Needs Editing

I'm an old Marvel fan who just happened by, but I can't help noticing that this article is in serious need of editing. There are many broken run on sentences and writing problems that need attention. I changed one example. Andacar 16:42, 31 May 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andacar (talkcontribs)
