Thank you for the image check at Misplaced Pages:Featured article candidates/Freedom for the Thought That We Hate/archive1. I've responded there at the FAC page.

I also took the initiative to merge those sections, as you suggested. Perhaps you could have another look to see if that's satisfactory?

Oh, yeah, no worries and thanks again for the image check. I'm just getting worried because we've had several helpful contributors (including WP:GOCE itself) do several passes at copyediting, the title of the book itself indicates an interesting issue related to the topic of freedom of speech, and yet so far not much interest from Misplaced Pages users in commenting on this one.

I saw the comments that you made for me to promote List of Academy Awards for Walt Disney to FL status. First of all, thank you for your comments.

• Based on your second comment, I have rephrased the sentence. Is it fine now?

• In your fourth comment you said that "significant screen innovation which has charmed millions and pioneered a great new entertainment field for the motion picture cartoon" would not be NPOV. The thing is I could the quote directly, as it was, from Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (you can see the source). So I can't really do anything about it. Do you have an alternate solution?

• In your sixth comment you told me that this image, would be a nice replacement for the image I have used right now. But for that I need to confirm that there was no copyright symbol on the trailer. Can you tell me how to do that?

1. I responded to your prose comments, at the FAC subpage.
2. Your recommendations were all good and I did not object to any of them.
3. Therefore, I just simply implemented all of those changes directly to the article itself.
4. Hopefully the prose is improving to the point that one or two perhaps out of the 100,000 Wikipedians that are active in existence on this planet might one day think the article is worthy of WP:FA quality status. :) That would be nice. — Cirt (talk) 23:16, 6 May 2013 (UTC)

FP on Manhattan and NYC articles

I noticed that you changed an image out at both of those articles. The image that you replaced does also happen to be a FP (although only on two wikis and wiki commons), and it shows better on the Manhattan and NYC articles, being that it's such a small image in those places. So the borderless version has better visibility and is still a FP, and thus I suggest that you put the cropped image back.

• Feel free to revert, but the bordered version is the one promoted on the English Misplaced Pages and it is the one which will be on the main page in... oh, about two years. If it is not in those articles, then those articles will not be chosen for the main page bold link. The standard is to replace alternatives with passed FPs, although this can be reverted by those who maintain the articles. As for why the bordered version was passed on the English Misplaced Pages and not the borderless version, please see the nomination. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 11:19, 7 May 2013 (UTC)

oddness

Java Heat sounds like something I could do without - why is it film makers have to utilise cliches with such naive idiotic minded unbridled uneducated enthusiasm to over-do some things beyond any reason or even logic - bit like some of the dumb movies about bali and krakatoa - why do they do it? - when I spent days walking the streets of Manhattan, and took the ferry around it I was liberated for life - all those dumb night helicopter shots of new york were expunged like some deep religious experience, there were people there, they were friendly and not a single movie cliche jumped out at me in kms and hours of walking.... I suspect the java heat articles' atrocious grammar needs an courageous eye over it... sats 00:31, 7 May 2013 (UTC)

Hi Crisco, I've re-scanned at a higher spec and had a bit of a clean up of the T-T image. I've got absolutely no idea about the standards of the FPC criteria. I think there are some which this passes fairly easily, but when it talks about "high technical standard" I have no frame of reference for what is considered "high". Is the image too poor quality to think about a future FPC, or is it a viable prospect. Cheers! - SchroCat (talk) 07:59, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
