You mentioned on ANI at that fake professor thread that pretending to be something on wikipedia is unnacceptable. Could you elaborate on that for me please? Is there actually a policy against claiming to be a professor? Talkback

Hello, GiantSnowman. You have new messages at Talk:List_of_accidents_and_incidents_involving_commercial_aircraft#1920_Golders_Green_Handley_Page_O.2F400_crash.
Message added 18:09, 9 July 2013 (UTC). You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

So nobody but me thinks TRM isn't conducting personal attacks? Think again and why letting administrators get away with this isn't good. ...William 18:09, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

Not convinced at all that this editor even knows what "personal attack" means here. Even his aviation project colleagues were happy to claim that the edit notice on the disputed list demonstrated ownership despite it being a copy of that on the existing aviation lists and commented on as being OWNership. We've even toned our edit notice down while I see their's are still in full flow. Honestly, and others have noted this, it feels like we're wasting a lot of time with this. The Rambling Man (talk) 22:39, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
@WilliamJE:, there was no personal attack there - not even close. Please drop this ASAP. GiantSnowman 08:10, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
MilborneOne and one other editor disagree. To top matters off, TRM is now being disruptive by tagging things as unreferenced that are referenced. Why is this administrator being allowed to act in this behavior except for that he is an administrator and therefore can't ever be held liable for his actions? Administrators protect their own around here. After all Mark Arsten is still one and Toddst1 can violate WP:INVOLVED without fallout. Rule #1 administrator rule- Protect your own....William 10:01, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
See WP:MINREF. I'm just doing exactly what the aviation project want, i.e. check that clicking through target articles in the unrefernced lists actually reference the claims in the unreferenced list in accordance with WP:MINREF. You can't have it both ways I'm afraid. And now you've resorted to borderline personal attacks claiming I'm acting without WP:COMPETENCE. Nice one. The Rambling Man (talk) 10:05, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
William, please provide specific diffs of TRM violating NPA and/or editing disruptively. GiantSnowman 10:08, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
Here and Milborne's reply. Here and here and read the talk page explanation. If he isn't trying to be disruptive and conduct personal attacks, why doesn't he just make ASN a IC instead or try Google News archive and stop making remarks about WP:OWN. He's either being WP:POINTY or fails WP:COMPETENCE....William 10:21, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
Responding to your diffs:
- how on earth is pointing to another, related article a "personal attack"?
- ideally should have been tagged with {{refimprove}} and {{inline}} rather than {{unreferenced}}, but that's a minor issue.
- same.
The other two don't relate to actions by TRM, just responses to them. So again, I'll repeat for the nth time, where are the diffs showing TRM engaging in personal attacks and diruptive editing? GiantSnowman 10:28, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
Just look here You could have found this yourself by looking at the thread instead of pointing out my mistake.
I pointed to his disruptive editing and his continuing WP:OWN assaults. Already pointed to multiple times here or at ANI or in that thread. Ignored constantly. You're protecting him....William 10:43, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
Again, you have provided ZERO evidence of any personal attacks or disruptive editing - either put up or shut up. Seriously. GiantSnowman 10:48, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
Milborne One doesn't agree. This editor don't agree either. A third editor says why don't TRM just fix it. In other words he is being pointy....William 10:57, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
I have already responded to those two editors. It's in "your words", not "other words" that you're accusing me of being pointy and incompetent. Don't try to assume other editors have engaged in personal attacks on me. The Rambling Man (talk) 11:00, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
On the other hand, accusations of pointy or incompetent editing could be interpreted as a personal attack... The Rambling Man (talk) 10:30, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
Yep - William, if you don't stop with your baseless accusations (as you have been told multiple times by multiple editors) very sharpish then you could soon find yourself with a short block for disruptive editing and harrassment. GiantSnowman 10:33, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
Ah here comes the threat of the boomerang by an involved administrator. An administrator insulting a whole project Multiple Times is acceptable repeated times doesn't earn a block but I am some how getting near one? Why didn't this person get one and yet I'm about too? He's an administrator and I'm not. An administrator is allowed to call someone a 'piece of shit' and face no reprucussion. Administrators protect your own....William 10:51, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
Who's the involved administrator, me? No, I have been commentating as an uninvolved admin ever since you ran to ANI with this non-issue and I tried to help. As you were told at ANI, 'insulting' a WikiProject (which didn't actually happen) is not the same as a personal attack - this is something you have been told multiple times. If you cannot see that then you clearly lack the competence to edit here. GiantSnowman 10:55, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
(e/c) The ownership link was provided ironically and based on an accusation by one of the aviation project's ownership claim. Which I've linked you to already. Did you read it? Now then, please demonstrate evidence of a personal attack, and refrain from personally attacking me by calling me incompetent and my edits pointed. Thanks. The Rambling Man (talk) 10:57, 10 July 2013 (UTC)

Braulio Nóbrega

This surely deserves page protection, but i'm not an admin...

here are my arguments: SECOND TIME that, without one word of explanation, a vandal removes the PERSONAL section where his legal troubles are discussed, duly referenced. His girlfriend, his boyfriend, Braulio himself wrote? Hell who knows, but i'm getting increasingly frustrated!

Seems like a dynamic IP, so no point in sending a message to his "user", even if it was an account i would not dignify them with a word, this is beyond preposterous and downright vandalism!

Kind regards, happy week --AL (talk) 20:40, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

Christina Angel article

Hi, when you have a moment, would you mind restoring the Christina Angel article to my Sandbox space here... User:Scalhotrod/Christina_Angel. I'd like to see if I can get it up to standards. Thank you, --Scalhotrod - Just your average banjo playing, drag racing, cowboy... (talk) 04:57, 10 July 2013 (UTC)

Much appreciated, thank you! --Scalhotrod - Just your average banjo playing, drag racing, cowboy... (talk) 15:57, 10 July 2013 (UTC)

Demba Ba

Hello GS. Could you please protect Demba Ba. In a pre-season training match he was seen with No. 19 and many IPs are changing his squad number, even though it has not been offifically confirmed by Chelsea. Thanks. JMHamo (talk) 09:29, 10 July 2013 (UTC)

ANI

You mentioned on ANI at that fake professor thread that pretending to be something on wikipedia is unnacceptable. Could you elaborate on that for me please? Is there actually a policy against claiming to be a professor? Thanks, RetroLord 12:59, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
