**Without looking in a reference, I would bet you could not name even one non winning Miss America participant, except this gal. She is only famous locally. The standard for inclusion in a list of notable people is the same as for an article. Non winning Miss America participants do not qualify for an article. If she is notable, write an article on her and link to it. Policy for that is linked above. Further, if you add something to an article and another editor removes it, you don't just put it back. See ]. I didn't tell you it needed a reference, I told you it wasn't a proper piece of content. You discuss it on the article's talk page and form a consensus before replacing it. I am telling you here that the mere fact of her participation in a Miss America pageant is not enough in my mind for her inclusion in a list of notable people and I have policy and history to back me up. ] (]) 04:48, 14 July 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for July 13

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Liberty, Mississippi, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Daisy Bates (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Austin, Minnesota appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person or organization added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Misplaced Pages's notability guideline. Thank you. • Debra Goodwin certainly meets the criteria for being "famous". She competed in the Miss America pageant (see Miss America 1981 to confirm). Also, please see Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Cities/US Guideline for information about what can go into the 'notable people' section. Thanks, Richard Apple (talk) 03:24, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
