Talk Page Welcome

Welcome!

Hello, Living large, and welcome to Misplaced Pages! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Misplaced Pages:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

Generally, only the first word in an article (such as Broadway musical) should be capitalized, unless it is a proper noun. Broadway musical redirects to Musical theatre, so you should check if any of your new content in Broadway Musical can be merged into that article. If you still feel that Broadway musical needs to be a separate article, you should move your content to the lower case version and notify other editors who might be interested at Talk:Musical theatre.

I hope you aren't put off by my advice; I can tell you worked hard on your article and I hope you will stay and contribute more. Happy editing!--ragesoss 03:00, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

Thank you, although I'm not knew and I've started articles under other names, and have edited anonymously for about two months now. We'll see how it goes. Living Large 03:02, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

Userboxes

If you click "edit" on my user page, and scroll to the bottom, you can see the templates I use.

The rest, it's all custom html or wikicode. You'll have to sort through it I'm afraid! Bastique voir 14:35, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, I've just been jacking them from other user pages (yours included.) Shh! Living Large 18:28, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

I have arranged your userboxex, because you aked it in Help:Contents/Images and media. Look in the help index for the use of tables. if you wish, you can copy my userboxes from User:Argentino/Userboxes. It is a subpage of my user that i call to my main page like a template ( {{User:Argentino/Userobxes}} ). Thinking twice, the help pages don't say much about tables. If you know html, use it, anyway i'll explain all i know in casu you don't know. use <table> and </table> to at the end of the table to tell the processor that you're making one. Use <th> </th> to make headers, <tr> </tr> to state the lines and <td> </td> for cells. In this case each template is a cell and a line at the same time. When writing "<table>" you can put <table style "align: left; width: 120 px; background:#FFFFFF".
Now I explain:
between "..." you have to write the style modifyers and put style "MODIFYER :PARAMETER; MODIFYER :PARAMETER; MODIFYER :PARAMETER" Where parameter is the type of modification you want to do (i.e. if modifyer is "width" the parameter is 120px, and you get a table 120 pixels wide) There are many modifyers and i don't remember each one, but you can find many of them by clicking "edit" and looking each table's modifyers.
"Align" modifyer can be "right", "left" or "center"
"Background" and "border" are colors in hexadecimal numbers, you can find a complete list here.
"Margin" and "width" are in pixels (NUMBERpx) but can be in "em" (NUMBERem), though i have no idea what "ems" are. I only use them if i've copied and pasted a table that already had them.
I'm sorry if i wasn't clear, but i'm not used to explain this in english.
I reccomend you to join all userboxes in one section, and you could "align: right" and have taxte on the left, so you don't need a separate section.
I haven't restarted the pc for days so it is really slow now and making a preview would take 7-10 minutes so i'll save. i apologize if i caus troublesArgentino (talk/cont.) 22:33, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

Thank you. I'm slowly getting this--it's tought at first, but noticed that Wiki code is somewhat similar to HTML. Livin' Large 21:44, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
