re: Bab burger
There was, however, a substantial discussion on talk, showing, among other things, existence of Korean Misplaced Pages article on the topic. I'd ask you to undelete it and submit to proper AfD instead. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:33, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
- True, but I'd like to see if Korean speakers could find better sources. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:44, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
Dave Considine
Last month you PRODded this, and it was deleted. Undeletion has been requested at WP:REFUND, so per WP:DEL#Proposed deletion I have restored it, and now notify you in case you wish to consider AfD. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 10:13, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
User:Luispedros
Hey, GS, could you please take a look at the contributions of this new editor? It looks to me like a mixture of incompetence, English issues, and worse, but, as you know, I'm no sports expert. Another much more experienced user reported Luis at WP:AN3. The reporter is also edit warring, but at this point I'm more concerned about Luis as he's created a bunch of new articles, a template, and changed templates, all in a short space of time. Thanks for your help.--Bbb23 (talk) 14:53, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
Ugly maintenance tags
There is an unfortunately tendency for some editors to splash ugly maintenance tags on articles. I'd much rather see people spend time to fix the articles. The Nobel laureate's article you just tagged is in reasonable good shape, and does not contain any contentious or negative info. It would be nice if you undid that tag, and instead, added inline references, if you have time. Thank you so much. Jehochman 16:06, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/John Shand
Thanks for extending that slightly, but it's a shame that was closed down before I even had the opportunity to speak about it.
I was not 'trolling', as some said - nor was it a spurious nomination. Note at the time I saw it, it had one single reference (this version) - and I don't think a listing in Dictionary of New Zealand Biography is enough to show notability - I don't imagine that all 3,000 people in that publication pass GNG.
I'm disappointed to see several users treat an IP as 'insignificant' - being insulted (as a 'troll'), being told they're 'not allowed' to do things like AfD ("As an unregistered user you don't have the right to start AfD discussions"). But I also see on AN, I'm being accused of battleground behaviour now too. So meh; I give up. 88.104.26.129 (talk) 17:57, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
notable or non-notable
According to WP:NFOOTBALL, "Players who have appeared, and managers who have managed, in a fully professional league, will generally be regarded as notable". However, its reference, Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Football/Fully professional leagues, is an incomplete list, meaning some professional leagues may not list on it. Three levels of professional league had been created in China since 1994 and now you say China League One and China League Two are not professional leagues by an incomplete list. I don't think it's appropriate.
It's hard to find the English version of files of Chinese football. Taking China League One as an example. This is the official program of 2013 China League One. Page 8 is "2013年中国足球协会甲级联赛规程" (Regulations of 2013 China League One):
- Chapter 1 Section 1: 中国足球协会甲级联赛是由国内职业足球俱乐部参加的除中超联赛外,全国高水平的职业足球联赛……(China League One is the second highest professional football league division (after Chinese Super League) for professional football club in the country…)
- Chapter 1 Section 2: …中国足球协会职业联赛理事会在中国足球协会的领导和授权下管理中甲联赛… (…China League One is administered by Chinese Football Association Professional League Council under the leadership and authority of Chinese Football Association)
China League One is a league played by professional football club and administered by professional League Council. If it is not fully professional league, then what's the standard of "fully professional league"?

- OK. I will raise it at WT:FPL tomorrow. It's 4AM in China now and I really need to sleep.
- Besides, I have another quetion about notability criteria. If a player just played in the domestic cup like FA Cup or League Cup, it's notable or non-notable? Could I creat an artical for him? It does not look to fill the notability criteria, but I notice that similar articles like Héctor Bellerín, Thomas Eisfeld, Isaac Hayden and so on had been created. It's really confuse for me.
- Thank you for your reply and happy editing.

(Non-)notable players
Hey BigMan! Came across Frank Aolie at Special:NewPages. Doesn't appear notable. Created by Durneydiaz (talk · contribs), who, judging by talk page, has a thing for creating such biographies. Maybe you could have a look and possibly tag some of his created articles. Jared Preston (talk) 10:10, 15 October 2013 (UTC)
Tim Hecker
I added some bio material to Tim Hecker which you tagged. Could you possibly check if the tags can be removed? Thanks Karst (talk) 12:42, 15 October 2013 (UTC)
