Plot summary
Template:Spoiler As New New York suffers from a heatwave, all scientists are called to a special meeting of all the scientists on Earth to stop the problem. Professor Farnsworth reveals that the exhausts on the robots he designed have caused global warming. The only solution is to destroy all robots. Bender, having developed a kindness towards the turtles after seeing they can't get up when they fall on their backs (just like him), is happy to sacrifice himself. As all the robots are invited to the Galapagos islands for a "party", Richard Nixon's head and Wernstrom plan to destroy all the robots with a space based laser. Bender reveals to all the partying robots that they are doomed, causing panic. Farsworth, Fry and Leela arrive at a solution to all these problems; all the robots must emit exhaust fumes into the air at the same time, in order to push earth farther from the sun. All of the robots start to release their fumes. Bender and his turtle, however, fall over on their backs and can't get up. Just before Wernstrom's laser hits, the turtle finds a way to get up, so Bender follows suit and releases his fumes at the last second, saving the robots. For his work, Farnsworth receives a pollution medal and all the robots party, expelling more pollution in the process.

Dark Wizard: Oh, sure... Blame the wizards!
- Prof. Farnsworth: A billion robot lives are about to be extinguished. Oh, the Jedis are going to feel this one.
- Prof. Farnsworth: I was tired and in love.

Trivia
- With the exception of Flexo, every robot character living on Earth appears in this episode.
- The ending to this episode is simliar to "A Big Piece of Garbage", in that the end of the world is merely postponed.
- The internet clip at the beginning of the episode about Global Warming the crew are watching was reused in Al Gore's documentary on the subject An Inconvenient Truth.
References

- Farnsworth's line "The Jedis are going to feel this one!" is a reference to the destruction of Alderaan, to which Obi-Wan Kenobi said, "I sense a great disturbance in the Force".
- The evil wizard at the scientist meeting looks strikingly simliar to Tim the Enchanter from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
- Leela calling a beer a "Bender Snack" is a reference to Scooby-Doo's Scooby Snacks.
