Files missing description details

hi. I'm not too good with editing Misplaced Pages. in the latest Family Guy episode, it is revealed that Meg's real name is actually Megatron. That's why I changed it.

Dear uploader: The media files you uploaded as:

are missing a description and/or other details on their image description pages. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the images, and they will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the images may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 00:53, 13 April 2013 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:JMiles.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:JMiles.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:07, 12 June 2013 (UTC)

article re croydon park

I live in Croydon Park, and have done so for the last 8 years. I know better then anyone how the real estate market is performing today. Not many people can say somebody knocks on their door weekly to buy their house.

Appreciate the comment, but I am 1,000 times more qualified to comment on this subject than you are. Over and out. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.49.155.34 (talk) 13:31, 8 November 2013 (UTC)

Operation Cactus 1988

Im trying to make the page more precise by adding the exact units of the Indian armed forces who were involved in the operation.

It was the Indian special forces, the Para commandos (India) and MARCOS who were involved. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.62.184.193 (talk) 19:25, 8 November 2013 (UTC)

name change uthman to usman.

kindly change the name uthman to usman.because in Arabic,Urdu, and Turkish languages it is "USMAN". both names have different meanings and different phanatic transcriptions.basically this name belong to Arabic so we must pronounce it in Arabic and define meaning in any other language instead of changing the original word?? you can easily verify this from other authentic sources. links: http://en.wikipedia.org/Uthman_ibn_Affan http://en.wikipedia.org/Uthman_%28name%29

im sorry for my last post it was irresponsible and rude — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.197.169.197 (talk) 18:55, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

St. George's College Edits

I made two edits.

1., I removed "Amante Eledin Parrguez" (which should actually be "Amante Eledin Parraguez") as an "internationally reknown alumni", because he is simply not known outside of Chile. He isn't even known in Chile, frankly.

2., I added "and terrorist" to the description of Andrés Pascal Allende, because in fact, he was a **self-described** terrorist. The movement he led, the Movimiento de Izquierda Revolucionaria, explicitly and openly advocated the use of violence to achieve its goals. To my way of thinking, openly advocating violence to achieve political goals is the definition of terrorism.

Concerning those two issues, point 2 might be considered a matter of opinion. But as to point 1, it's really not a matter of opinion. Mr. Parraquez's work is currently out of print in Spanish (and out of stock at the major bookstore where I am writing this), and has never been translated into a foreign language.

I'll go ahead and re-edit the entry for point 1. I'll leave it to your discretion as to whether or not to edit point 2.

Cheers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.8.79.154 (talk) 19:39, 8 November 2013 (UTC)

Hello

I'm sorry for the disruption, I think you should have this account bloced, as someone's obviously found my password. I need to make a new one. Thanks, --A Goblet and Two Maidens (talk) 19:46, 8 November 2013 (UTC)

Hello! I am Miha, and I made edits in last 3 minutes in article about Caracol king. I made it and it is constructive, but I unfortunately made it without log in.--93.136.41.228 (talk) 15:10, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

Hi!! I made edits to a page which is dedicated to Sihag to undo the changes that were made on that page on 3 November, 2013. I request you to restore the page to the state as it was before 3 November 2013. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.110.246.25 (talk) 15:21, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

Hello. Regarding the first edit I made to the Paul McGann entry, I typed that in when debating how to fix some vandalism and accidentally kept it I intended to delete the uncited incident entirely, as I was hoping to remove some vandalism from the site.75.138.225.130 (talk) 15:30, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

Hello. My edit calling the Times of Israel political alignment as "Right Leaning Independent" is not a personal opinion any more than "Centrist" is to the person that put THAT as the alignment previously. Just saying. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.13.244.203 (talk) 15:23, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

Hi, about the change you "unchanged" in the 2013 EMA's Best Worldwide Act, which I changed, please get your facts right before posting information. Thank you (P.S - here's one of many proofs - http://www.china.org.cn/arts/2013-11/11/content_30560519.htm )

wallpaper paste

Hi - I tried to change wallpaper paste. And you blocked it and I don't understand why. I'm not saying my contribution was perfect but your current one is totally inaccurate and reads like goobledygook. I've no doubt someone will come along and improve mine - but right now Wiki is wrong in it's description of something. You're mixing up Paste and adhesive! Madhava-kara

I see you repeatedly reverted a vandal there who kept adding nonsense, however, you failed to notice that there was no content on that page after the vandal (from a different IP but I assume the same person) removed it all. Just a heads up. Ramaksoud2000 23:25, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

Please Stop

You need to stop being a bully and removing my edits or I will report you. BryenKranstin (talk) 19:48, 12 November 2013 (UTC)

RE: Rugeley

How many times must I say this?

STOP removing my posts on the page:Rugeleythis is the FINAL time that I will ask. I forgave the first two times as I believed you didn't have a good grasp of English but upon looking at your profile I have learned that you are in fact an English speaker. Please stop bullying me. Once more and I will be forced to report you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.111.193.130 (talkcontribs)

Don't revert changes you don't understand

I came to this talk page assuming you were a bot that needs to be corrected. Instead it looks like you're a real person who "helpfully" reverts edits by others and then sends them a message telling us to use the sandbox. Seriously? Check what you're reverting before you do it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.173.12.159 (talk) 06:29, 13 November 2013 (UTC)

thomas hyde

well, he was the first european to notice and describe, in latin, the most ancient chinese board-game. It seems to me quite relevant. at least it is much more important that the actual sentence, where it is saied he described a variant of backgammon, a game that in China did not arrived before Tang dynasty. if in doubt ask to board-game historians or go players or sinologists here in this en-WP. --147.162.48.1 (talk) 13:40, 13 November 2013 (UTC)

Gerritsen Beach, Bay, and Mill

The article at Misplaced Pages that says these areas were named for Wolphert Gerretse are absolutely FALSE. I signed up as an editor to fix the lie, but you keep deleting my changes. There is a definite paper trail of land deeds for the family of Samuel Gerritsen all the way to the selling of the property to the Whitney family. The New York Times seems to have stated in 2002 that the Beach was named for Wolphert falsely.

What can I do to correct this error? I have no faith in any of the things I read at Misplaced Pages now. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gallacreek (talkcontribs) 16:56, 13 November 2013 (UTC)

Wolphert Gerretse's last name was Couwenhoven. Later this name was called Conover. I signed up to this because when I read about Gerritsen Beach, Bay, and Mill, I knew this information was false. I don't really even understand what to do. I just know about this subject and surely hate to read FALSE reporting about it. I posted it 3 times and 3 times different editors removed it. My conclusion is " Misplaced Pages prefers to have information that is false rather than let me correct it." I am OLD and not an accomplished computer user. I was just trying to correct false information. Why would that not be "helpful"? Is there anything I can do to fix the incorrect information? I know I am not as esteemed as the New York Times, but if that is where this statement originated they are incorrect also. Samuel Gerritsen's family owned this estate until it passed to the Whitney family and this is a documented chain through will and deed records. During the Revolutionary was Samuel Jr. operated the Mill and was forced to grind corn for the British Armies. Gallacreek (talk) 20:53, 13 November 2013 (UTC)Gallacreek

Incorrect tagging of St Bede's Catholic High School (Lytham)

Thanks for nominating St Bede's Catholic High School (Lytham) for speedy deletion. Only problem was that you nominated it as a nonsense page, when the article was an attack page (the giveaway was allegations of one of the teachers being in an adult bar). Please could you make sure you tag pages correctly? The attack speedy deletion category page is more closely monitored than the others and tends to get a quicker response; as it was, this article was up for nearly an hour before it was deleted.

If you are unsure as to what tags to use, please see WP:CSD. Thank you! Stephen! 17:04, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
