  • (Discuss) – Royal Court of Charcas → Real Audiencia of Charcas – Restore original name of page and consistency with location of the article real audiencia. Alternatively, at least use "Royal Audiencia of Charcas". I'm normally a fan of using English names, however the consensus of the sources is quite clear: Audiencia IS the English name for these bodies of the Spanish Empire, and "Royal Court of Charcas" seems to be a term made up by Misplaced Pages. I've been doing some somewhat related research, and every single English book I've consulted uses "Real Audiencia".   • (Discuss) – Mike Dalton (wrestler) → Tyler Breeze – He has spent a few months now as Tyler Breeze, and I think it's safe to say he is much more known as Breeze than he was as Dalton. As "Mike Dalton", he may have won the FCW Heavyweight and Tag Team championships, but FCW did not have the same outreach that NXT does. WWE never promoted FCW on their website the same way as NXT, so casual fans were much less aware of FCW than they are of NXT. On NXT, "Mike Dalton" was used mostly as a jobber, appearing infrequently and losing almost every match he was in.   • (Discuss) – Russian submarine Nerpa (K-152) → INS Chakra – I have previously(1 year ago) opposed the idea of renaming the article but after giving it a thought, I feel it makes sense to move the article. The boat will stay with India for 10 yrs which is quite a long amount of time and India will most probably buy it off after ten years. If India doesn't buy the sub then, we could rename it back to Nerpa in 2022 . For now, I would like you all to consider the rename request. Cheers, Relisted.   • (Discuss) – Vehicle miles traveled tax → Vehicle miles traveled fee – I changed the word tax to fee because a charge based on VMT is generally, and more frequently, referred to as a VMT fee not tax in the literature. This practice is correct because a fee is a charge for use of a service or amenity, the amount of which is related to the cost of providing that service or amenity. The key feature of fees is that the user of a given good or service pays, and the funds collected are related to the purpose of providing the good or service. Here a fee is paid for miles driven to pay for the cost of providing a transportation system. A tax, on the other hand, while it may be applied to a particular good or service or more generally to the population at large, is collected to raise general purpose revenues. Taxes collected may be unrelated, or completely disproportionate, to expenditures. Thus, taxes on sales of goods or services are not necessarily related to the cost of providing the goods or services taxed. That is not the concept behind a VMT charge.   • (Discuss) – Olde English Bulldogge → Olde English Bulldogge (UKC) – Breeders are using the name "Olde English Bulldogge" for several lineages, but this page currently has been stripped down to cover a single true-breeding lineage, a narrow selection from the lineage (Leavitt Bulldog) developed by David Leavitt. The Dorset Olde Tyme Bulldogge is unrelated, but was merged into this page. Leavitt Bulldog is another attempt to untangle some of the confusion. There is another organization, the International Old English Bulldogge Association that registers dogs under the name "Olde English Bulldogge" but uses a different standard from the UKC, and places no restrictions on their ancestry other than that they are "pure bred". I propose that two pages would be a better solution, one called Old English Bulldogge (UKC) and Old English Bulldogge (IOEBA).   • (Discuss) – Anti-Serb pogrom in Sarajevo → Anti-Serb demonstrations in Austria-Hungary – While the article stresses the word "pogrom" over the word "demonstrations" with a ratio of 3:1, I note that sources more often (with a ratio of 8:1) refer to the incident as "demonstrations" rather than "pogrom" which is defined as a "an organized massacre of a particular ethnic group". This is misleading to say the least given that two individuals were killed and a bit bewildering when you consider that the same amount of people were killed on the day of the assassination. The demonstrations were also not unique to Sarajevo as "anti-Serbian demonstrations took place across the empire". I see no reason to divide up the riots by city or province since they are short simultaneously connected events occurring throughout the Austro-Hungarian empire. In accords with this I propose the article be moved to "Anti-Serb demonstrations in Austria-Hungary". The second suggestion, "Anti-Serb riots in Austria-Hungary", shows there was violence better than the term "demonstrations", but is less popular than "demonstrations" though more than "pogrom".   • (Discuss) – Damaged good → Crippleware – Since this page is actually giving only computer hardware and software examples, I think there needs to be an entirely different page about "damaged good". The definition tacked on in lead has little relevance to what comes after it. (See section above for examples of use of the term "crippleware" in relation to hardware and software that is intentionally limited in order to extract a fee later.) The simplest solution is therefore to rename this article to "crippleware" and let the wiki-economists write whatever they want on a separate page for "damaged good". So I'm making a formal request for renaming this page, with no strings attached as to what can be written separately about "damaged good".   • (Discuss) – Indian 2G spectrum scam → 2G spectrum scam – 2G spectrum scam is the name for this event. It has been proposed that the name should be "Indian 2G spectrum scam" to give context to the event per WP:PRECISE, but I find this argument lacking because calling it Indian does not give it useful context because without knowing of this event no one would know what a "2G spectrum scam" might be just with the context of it being Indian. Additionally, it is not even accurate to call it Indian since it was an international conspiracy involving entities from other countries robbing India with Indian conspirators. This event is known in media as the 2G spectrum scam and not the Indian 2G spectrum scam. It might be appropriate to add context to the title but using the word Indian is not the way, and using the word "Indian" applies a political blame to a crime which might be better placed on individuals than a country. There is no other 2G spectrum scam or any other spectrum scam event in the world- this is the only one. While adding context might be nice, there can be no confusion about this "2G spectrum scam" and anything similarly named. Blue Rasberry (talk) 22:57, 24 December 2013 (UTC)

  • (Discuss) – Engineering College of Copenhagen → DTU Diplom – Since the merge with the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in January 2013 this college has been renamed "DTU Diplom" and is an institute-like body of DTU. Since this is now its current and main purpose I vote the article is re-done to make the new institute the focus of the article, and refer to it having once been the "Engineering College of Copenhagen".After the article is moved I plan on giving it an overhaul to make it up to date, seeing as I myself am studying there.   • (Discuss) – Peace River → Peace River (disambiguation) – The Peace River in British Columbia and Alberta is by far the most common use of this name, and is the source-name of all other Canadian "Peace River" entries on this page. This was moved from Peace River (disambiguation) in 2009 and really should not have been. Though there are three Peace Rivers in the United States, only one has an article, and I am unfamiliar myself with the notability of the one in Florida in terms of US geographical names or historical importance. The Canadian Peace, on the other hand, is a very major river with a significant role in the history of Canada and as the namesake of various entities, some already listed.   • (Discuss) – Buenos Aires Underground → Buenos Aires Metro – The most commonly used word for underground rapid transit systems is "metro." Look at the category for underground rapid transit by country, and the vast majority use the word "metro" in the title on every continent. This word is practically universally understood by English speakers traveling internationally, and is the most likely word to be used when inquiring about availability of such systems. Also, within the text of the article, the word "metro" is used extensively, as well as the category name, all the station names and their articles, the line names and their articles, and all the templates used in navigation and design for the articles about the lines and stations. jsfouche ☽☾Talk 12:54, 21 December 2013 (UTC)
  • (Discuss) – Emmett Brown → ? – "Doctor" is out of option, so let's not use that. Many sources call him "Doc Emmett Brown" and/or 'Emmett "Doc" Brown'. He is nicknamed "Doc" and sometimes called "Emmett", but we can't dump one for the other. But sources don't agree in dumping "Doc" in 2006 discussion, which had just three supports. I'm in favor of using "Doc Emmett Brown", but I can't force you to choose either one. Let's add back "Doc", and using quote marks may be an exception per WP:TITLEFORMAT. The Last Airbender is used to refer to the main show Avatar: The Last Airbender like how The Empire Strikes Back is used to refer to the main film Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The 2010 film should be titled The Last Airbender (film) or The Last Airbender (2010 film) (for if they were to reboot the Avatar: The Last Airbender film series).   • (Discuss) – Mulan (disambiguation) → Mulan – It's not that the 1998 film is the primary topic, since the legendary character is also known as "Mulan", and is the basis of the film and already widely known prior to the film. Further, the Mulan franchise of Disney's and the Disney character vies for prominence in Disney related topics, as Mulan is one of Disney's "Princesses" heavily promoted in Disney merchandising separate from the film series, and we have a separate article on the Disney character. I also propose that we change the current page on aziridine to a disambiguation page leading to the group and parent compound. This, I believe, will render the ability to add more information that cannot be in its current state, as it would be improper and belonging in a separate article to add the specific information that I would like regarding ethyleneimine. The film article was viewed 48,385 times in the last 90 days, compared to 5856 for the book. The disambiguation page was visited 1615 times. While the book is quite well known, the film is more so. For instance, it won 2 Oscars and was nominated for 3 more and a slew of other awards. It's worth noting that the film isn't a straight-up adaptation of the book; despite the name it also takes material from other of Brown's works and life story; he is depicted working on and publishing the book My Left Foot in the film. It is used by such as Oxford Handbook of Byzantine Studies, The New Encyclopaedia Britannica, Konstantin Jireček, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, and others.   • (Discuss) – Price tag policy → Price tag attacks – I'm concerned that the current title is incompatible with WP:NPOV, primarily through its use of euphemism. The recognizability part of WP:CRITERIA may also apply, as "price tag policy" sounds like something you'd read at Walmart. Using the -wikipedia qualifier, the proposed title is more common in Google Books (114 to 78) and Scholar (25 to 20), though slightly less common in a general Google search (355k to 492k). Finally, I would argue that this article is really more about a series of attacks than it is about a "policy" of those that commit the violence. BDD (talk) 06:37, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
